Wendy, Chris and Benjamin (22mths) announce a BFP !!!!!

Post by Wendy »

Hello, Hello, to anyone who remembers me. Havn't been on for ages and was very pleasantly surprised to see this wonderful parents after treatment site, what a great idea. When going through our first attempts it was a real godsend seeing the pregnant after treatment site and wishing we were on there, then it happened and it was fantastic having it to support us throught the pregnancy, because our pregnancies really are extremely precious and special, but now to have this site as well - its great and hopefully will give anyone just starting on the long and rocky road some hope and encouragment that it really can work.
And now for our news, we started all over early last year and had a failed icsi and failed fet but on Christmas eve we had 3 embies put back and I'M PREGNANT - WHIPPEE. A long way to go and I've got my first scan on weds, fingers crossed.
Brilliant to hear about oldies and newbies
loads of love to all Wendy, Chris and Benajmin xxxxxxxxx

Oh wow, Wendy - CONGRATULATIONS! I hope that you have a restful next 9 months ... with a lively 2 year old!!!

I can't believe that Benjamin is nearly 2; it seems like only yesterday that you were announcing his arrival.

Good luck for your scan.

Many congratulations wendy - fantastic to hear you've done it again!!! Went in to pay our embryo storage charge the other day and the lady said "you know where we are when you need us" and I thought "hmmm!!" but you have actually done it, gone through the whole thing again ! Was it as traumatic? Be interested to hear - obviously you have your precious Benjamin already but I bet you were nervous just the same during that dreaded 2ww (that seems like a million years ago!)

Great News - look forward to hearing more as you go on.

Lots of Love - Jo. XXX (Mum to the gorgeous Alice Margaret - 10months)

Wendy - brilliant to hear your news. I was in your old original gang - do you remember me? We had our little boy in Jan 03 after 1st go at ivf so we were just a couple of mths ahead of you with Benjamin. We are about to go for consultation re. trying ivf again. M/c after natural conception last May, nothing since then. Would really like to hear how it was going through it again - was it easier than last time, harder, different...
Good luck with your scan!

a lot easier

Post by Wendy »

Hi Miriam, yes I remember the name if not the details !!
Good luck with the next go. It really is so much easier. We had a failed first attempt then a failed FET which still made me cry, but it didn't take as long to get over it when you look into the face of your gorgeous precious first one. We were both far more relaxed about the whole thing, not just because we knew what to expect, but because we already had our dream baby. We just have both wanted a big family which is out of the question now, but a 'regular' sized family would be just perfect and we wanted Benjamin to have a sibling too. I'm now 4mths pregnant, due mid sept, all going well so far. Keep us informed. I'm regularly posting on pregnant after treatment now which hopefully you will be joining soon !!
