Would you believe I lost my password, so have had to set up a new account!!!!!! Anyhow how are you all?? my two are 16months old and are just great, I do find it hard some days but it the little things that keep me smiling. Amelia was shouting for "haycob" today!!!! and she is walking but my lazy boy can't be bothered. We are spending 5 day without the kids in April which I am looking forward to but on the otherhand know I will miss them like mad, but hey thats healthy!

I am going through a very broody phase at the mo!! We have said we will see where we are at in September to see if we will have anymore.

You lucky thing, how did you manage that!! Where are the children going? and WHERE ARE YOU GOING? I think that's a fab idea, I might see if Chris is up for a mini break for us on our own. Will do us the world of good after the crazy year we've had, which I know you understand allllllll about!

Matthew is walking now too but we have a lazy girl, spaghetti legs! Can walk round the furniture and on the walker but put her on her own and she just collapses or launches herself at you.

Am sooooooo tierd, need a tonic, any recommendations from anyone, supplements or anything??

We are off to NEW YORK!!!!!!!!! I can't wait, Mum and Stepdad are moving in ours so the kids are in their own home, plus they love my mum to bits and I am sure they will get spoilt.

On the walking front I made Amelia hold one hand of mine and took her on a little tour of the house, if she sat down, I took her back to the lounge, so I need to start that with Jacob, Also he has turned into EVIL twin, he headbangs everything and everyone when he can't get his own way.!!!! any tip please.

Becky I do remember you - how are things with you!!

Oh Mag......thank god I'm hearing of another head banging horror child! Dan started head butting us over night, mind you is it wrong that I find it hilarious? This morning in bed I told him to stop nutting Daddy, so he nutted me, I said that's naughty, and got a poke in the eye!

Jacob's about a week older than Dan, so maybe it's just an age thing. I hope so and that they grow out of it.

Have your 2 had the mmr Mags? Dan is due to have it done on Weds, after much agonising that is over whether to opt for the single jabs. But I woke up thinking about it this morning and am in two minds again whether to take him. Some advice or just an opinion would be really valuable.

We decided on the singles, this is the only thing Dh put his foot down about, the only downside is it takes 9 months for all the jabs ( 3months in between), they had Measles, in Feb its Mumps. We did keep chatting about it and getting other advice, but inthe end we decided to pay., it works out for about £80 per jab, but aleast it is split over the months.

The headbanging is funny at times, he always get Dh, I have learnt to move out of his way, Amelia is always putting her finger into noses, (other peoples) and ears - that is funny.

Is Dan walking yet, what else is he upto, its nice to find another baby of simular age.

Will prob spend all money in NY on the kids!!!

Hi Girls!

It's lovely to hear your updates even if your little ones are growing up too fast. If it's any consolation my nephew, who is also a September 2003 baby, is also a headbanger and has been for a couple of months.

As for the MMR, Sue, Daniel and Charlotte had the triple jab at 13 months old. I'm a firm believer in immunisation, especially as the risks of measles are quite dangerous (and there was an outbreak around here just at the time that their jabs were due). And I personally think that the link between MMR and autism is a load of old cobblers (but that is very much a personal opinion). Charlotte was fine after her MMR. Daniel had a rash about 10 days after the jab, which is a fairly common side effect but he wasn't at all ill with it. And in the almost 2 years since they had the jab, they've shown no signs of any adverse reaction.

Re. MMR. Maya had hers last summer and everything was fine. Like Jules, I'm a big fan of jabs. I caught measles when I was 4 and was partially deaf for quite a while afterwards. I can remember having hearing tests at infant school.

Maya is also an eye poker. She knows most of her body parts and will happily point them out on herself or someone else. It's only with eyes that she seems so vicious! She doesn't head butt however...she does slap/hit at times. I know it's common around her age (20m) but still distressing and at times she catches me with an open hand slap and wow does it sting. We always catch her hand and say 'no hitting, nicely' and show her how to stroke instead.

when we first get a foster child we have to take them to the doctors to get there first shots. most of them havent had them .....

i was there about 23 years ago...

i am doing pretty good..lifes has had its up and downs but it has become more enjoy able again..

my brother died back in august. that was very hard. him and i where best friends when we where younger...

but my neice from my younger brother that died a couple years ago she came up for the first time this christmass so that was great.. all though it was a liitle hard havin her here with a house full of boys. she is 16 and we have four boys that are 16 and older..
but we still had a great time.
she did have a cruse on our oldest.. it was funny cause erik would come up to me and quitely and say mom can you please have her stop taking my hat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have you been keeping track of how much they have grown?

Thanks girls for your mmr opinions. I had more or less decided on single jabs, but in December found out I'm expecting again. I panicked then than Dan could pick up German Measles at nursery. It sounds awful that suddenly it was ok for him to have the mmr to safeguard the new baby. But it isn't like that really, it's more to do with the time factor in having the singles done, although I suppose I could have gone for the gm jab first.

Anyway, I had a chat with the gp who said pregnancy aside I should still get him immunised. He also said that it's only Britain that have the outcry over mmr, and that in the states, Japan and Europe it's not considered to be a problem at all. He did give me a niggling worry though when he said that his daughter had had it but then went on to say the difference was that the study had suggested that boys were more at risk than girls....so that set me off into another panic!!!!!!

Well, I've booked tomorrow afternoon off so lets see if I can go through with it!

In response to your question Mags, Dan started walking just before his first birthday, he now runs everywhere though. We bought a trampoline for him at Christmas which he loves, so his new thing is to jump. His jumping isn't confined though to the trampoline, so that's pretty funny watching him attempt to bounce around the house. He's trying to talk at the moment, and it's funny because although he can't say much he appears to be able to count. If I count the stairs as we climb up and down he definitly says four and six. He's also leaned to say tick tock this week. OK I'm being a baby bore now aren't I!
