Hi Traci...what a wonderful offer. Had you talked about it previously or was it a bolt from the blue?

HI Traci,
Sounds like you have an amazing sister!
Lot's of thinking to do hey?
Does your IVF clinic have a counselling service that they offer?, I know mine does, it was really quite useful.

Traci,

You have one great sister!!

I have a younger sister too (3 years younger) and, whereas she and I are very close, I can't even see her making such an offer.

Is your DH happy about the idea?

It sounds like a really difficult offer to turn down!

Hi Traci, good news about your sister. She is very special to have offered. Does she have children already? My own sister had talked with me about offering but I have not been ready and she is still very young herself. It is a big decision but I love my sister with all my heart and know that the offer is there. We have both light hearteldy joked as the embryo would be half dh. It gets you thinking of the mannerisms. You must be really excited, I wish you the best, this could be the year! Do what your heart and mind tell you. Love Jjj x

Thanks girls for all you replies great to hear from you , well I am probably certain I will do it but not till next January , its gonna cost £6000 its alot more expencive then the usual IVF. we will start councilling after easter maybe early May and then if we both pass that then we will have to get Heidi Screened so we will just move into it slowly giving her every chance to pull out and then in the end I will know it wasnt a rushed decitiion . in one way I want to do it now but I have waited 12 years swapped husbands gone through a vasectomy reversal and 4 ICSI's so a few months wont hurt , I had my FSH tested last week and it was 23 YIKES I have 2 more tests and if they are that high I defo wont be using my eggs ever again!!!!

Trace

I'm pleased that you've decided on the plan. I think you're right to take it slowly, as you say - what's a few more months ?

How exciting though - a way forward ! :D
