This is something I've thought long and hard about.
I feel guilty taking time of work because we are only a small team and someone being off really takes its toll on the rest of the staff.
BUT - i've waited so long for this and there is no way anything is going to hamper my chances of this working and therefore I've opted to take time out from the day I start the stimms (which is tomorrow!) until I know whether it has worked or not.
And I'm taking it sick.
Fortunately I get sick pay and my GP says there will be no problems in signing me off. ihave a very stressful job and there would be no way I could do lighter duties through the tmt.
I live a fair way from the hospital and it would mean mornings off work for daily tests etc, so I would only be able to work afternoons anyway.
And then they'd expect me to cram a week's work in two and a half days.
Well I'm not doing that and I'm going to take time out to look after myself.
Do I sound like I'm trying to convince myself?

I am a bit, but I have to think of myself.
I think it depends on individual circumstances, but everyone should do what they feel comfortable with.
