Hey this may be a dumb question :roll: , but I noticed some test at home. I thought regular urine tests could give false positives because of the fertility drugs? I am testing on Monday w/blood test and this has been such a long week already!

Sorry to hear about the negatives. I pray for babies all the time and I will keep you all as a group in that prayer.

First ivf Jan. 2005....+tive on Feb 14!

Betts,

Different clinics do different things (putting it mildly), some don't offer blood tests for pg so people have to hpt. They say you can only get false negatives not positives with hpts, so for us they're OK provided the timing is perfect. Many people have tested negative the day before their actual test day, or even on the day itself only to find they are +v later.

Thanks Debra. Knowing that, I will probably do the urine test Monday AM before I go to the clinic for the blood test.

Oh Staci .. What can I say ? Only that I know how crap you're feeling and will have a glass with you :( You know all the stuff - although it won't make it any easier at the moment - take time out, relax, take some You time ..... it will get easier for both of you x

I am so sad to here your news :cry:

I know exactly what you are going through as it looks like I may have only been pregnant for a week as my HCG levels were very low on Thursday...got to go back tomorrow to see if its increased but I am not hopeful as the symptoms I were having are also dying off...........................

But you know we have to both be strong and pick ourselves up to fight another day......

Sarah,

I'm so sorry to hear that but I just hope the numbers will be up where they should be when you go back in and you are worrying for nothing. Was that the first time they had checked your level or the 2nd? If the first, I have seen a number of people start out with very low levels but still end up having perfectly normal pregnancies. I don't think the number you start out with is half as important as whether or not it keeps increasing.

Sarah - Dont give up yet! - Try to keep positive as I sure your little baby is hanging in there!!!

take traci's advice....
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!
