Celebrity's

Post by nicolamark »

:) Just wondered if any of you knew of any celebrity's who are ttc or have had fertility treatment.
Always hear about pregnant celeb's on telly and in mags, but never celeb's with issues like we have.
There must be some one out there who's famous and ttc, or under gone treatment.

Wasn't Prince Edward + Sophie's baby via IVF after their ectopic? I also think Courtney Cox may have said they had IVF. Also Geena Davis had twins last year at 48 so she may have had tmt too.

I guess many celebreties will tend to keep it quiet.

I knew that sophie & prince edward had a babe, didn't realise it was via IVF.
What about Julia Roberts? She's had twins, is it possable she might have had treatment?
I guess your right, they like to keep things hush hush!!

Why u missing gossip mags? Is it coz ur in Norway?

Julia Roberts had IVF for her twins, Geena Davis had twins as a result of IVF using donor eggs. The TV presenter Anna Walker has three children through IVF (although I'm sure that when she had her first child she denied it and only 'owned up' later, which really annoyed me).

There are certainly more celebrities who have had IVF and I'll get back to you ...

wow, we came up with a list pdq didn't we???

Nicola, I don't buy them because imported magazines cost more than double the cover price. Eg. 'She', cover price 3.00 pounds, costs 6.60 here, which I can't justify esp. as they don't last that long.

Lance Armstrong's wife (well, now ex-wife)

You're right about Brooke Shield's, Becky. She's actually been very open about the fact that she did IVF....I think she was successful on her 7th try.

Cindy Margolis. I don't know how many of you are familiar with her but she is a model (also known for being the most downloaded woman on the internet). She recently had a documentary on TV about her struggle with infertility which showed she and her husband going through the whole process of IVF (she was eventually successful).

There are speculations about many others but most don't seem willing to talk about it. I'm guessing maybe they are not concerned so much for themselves as for their children? I would think it might be difficult for a younger child at school having everyone know they were the result of IVF treatment.

Thought Id join is well.....bit of light relief........

Not a worldwide celebrity but...

I read an article recently about the actress who plays Coronation Streets Cillas (mum from hell on the program) IVF story......She seemed a really nice lady and had successfull IVF(not sure how many goes)
What was nice was to read was how she felt blessed to be in the privileged position to fund tmt and her heart went out to those less fortuanate..........

I also believe Louise Redknapp(married to Jamie Rednapp-footballer and former member of girl band eternal) has recently given birth after IVF..(clomid I think) She had endometritis(bad spelling!!)

Also, Anthea Turner has had many attempts and now accepted it is not to be............which proves even if you are well known and can afford it....it is still mainly down to luck....

Going off the subject a bit.........I cant remember what magazine I was reading (Bella or Best I think) but did anyone read the heartbreaking article about a lady( I will call her miss x) who lost her fiance and never got over it...Miss X used her best friend & husband as an emotional crutch and was upset when her friend said they were trying for children(was frightened of being left out and alone).......to cut a long story short, her friend found out she had to do IVF and as her and her husband did not like needles asked tMiss X to do injections.....Eaten up by jealousy & worried about bing left out if friend had children when her friend was on 2ww and she was injecting her she replaced every other syringe with WATER!!(she did check on internet that it would not be dangerous)
Her friends IVF was -ve and due to the emotion of it all decided to accept they would never have children.......... Miss X has never confessed to what she did and says that after the -ve result she and her friend are closer than ever and she has to live with the guilt of it might have been what she did that stopped it working.........
It was such a sad article as Miss X has obviously got emotional issues, she has never had a relationship since her fiancee has died and totally relied on her best friend for a social life but even so............what she has put her friend through is shattering.....................

Oh well,
you can tell I have not posted for a while, am getting carried away.......

Sending everyone +ve vibes.........

Ben Elton and his wife had fertility problems. He has written a book which is supposed to be excellent. I have seen the film based on his true story and it is very funny and sad at the same time, it's called Maybe baby.

I agree with theory that more celebs. have treatment than let on. I also heard once, which again I find very annoying, that some celebs(???) have IVF JUST so they can pick the sex of the baby, they also book a c.section so they can fit in their work/ lifestyle and have a tummy tuck in the same process!!! Not sure how true it all is???

What chance have we got????? I would love to come out in a size 10 jeans - especially as I haven't worn a 10 since my twenties - haha!

Lots of luck to you all. We are all celebs. now in our own little way 8)
