2ww

Post by Joanne104 »

Hi

Am new to this site - have had a look round and think it will be really helpful. I am currently in the middle of my 2ww of 2nd attempt at IVF (first -ve Jul 2004), test is due 20th Feb. It seems like the longest 2 weeks of my life! Keep getting niggly pains in tummy - not sure if that is a good or a bad thing - mood swings are horrendous, happy one minute crying the next.

Can anyone tell me how they got through their 2ww?!

hi joanne. hang on on there. in one week, you will know the result! can appreciate the wait must seem horrendous. i am currently on my first round of IVF, on stimms at the moment and heading for EC any time from friday onwards. i suggest you post on the general forum as it is much busier than this section and there are loads of people who can offer you advice. you might want to look at joining the january buddies thread, although most have tested already this month. there may be some still waiting. otherwise, i am on the february thread but we are not as far advanced as you!

wishing you lots of luck...

Hi Joanne - Glad you've found this site and Welcome !! :D

Most people tend to post on the General Forum, and if you give Debra the Okay, she'll add you to the Test Date thread over there.

How did we get through the 2ww .. ? Just like you're doing - like this  and this  and this :( ..... Sorry, now I'm being serious : I think you've just got to take every day as it comes. Some days I burst into tears at the slightest thing, especially during the 2nd week. As you say, some days are a little brighter. I think as long as you're sure you are doing everything possible for a +ve result, it's really out of your hands. Just try to stay in a postive frame of mind, as I'm sure it really does help. Best of luck for your test on 20th ... Lots of PMA and +ve vibes being sent your way ...!!

I just wanted to say that this forum seems most helpful. I will be taking my first attempt at IVF with ICSI in April. I am very nervous about the injections. My husband will be going though sperm aspiration in the next two weeks. We are hoping for success so we can move forward.

Strong Women

Post by brs888 »

Best of luck to all of you. I am in my 2ww and am quite emotional. Sitting here reading about all of you wonderful women going through a very difficult thing. I am in awe to think about how strong each of us are...that's what we have to remind ourselves. Whether we get -ve or +ve results, we are strong women and will to do just about anything to share our love with our children. Amazing and truly representative of a mother-to-be's love. Again, take care and best of luck

HI there, I too am new to this site.
I am just in the middle of the 2 week wait, after having a tense time in Egg Collection and Embryo Transfer. (Long Story....but from 8 large follicles, we only got one egg (grade 3) and I was a bit worried it would not survive or fertilise, and leave us with nothing for our first try at IVF.

Anyway, it did!! Shocked me. So, I had my Embryo Transferred on 26 May, and have to do a Test next Thursday (9th June) which is 2 days before my birthday, so I am really hoping for a Birthday present to remember! We have been trying for 6 years, I was diagnosed with PCOS with severe hormonal imbalance, and did totally by fluke manage to get pregnant last June, but miscarried early in the July.

Anyway, am hoping this little one likes it in there, and wants to stay. I guess thats all any of us can hope for at this time.

I too have had odd niggles in my tummy, and yesterday had a very slight bleed, but it stopped. I am just hoping it was implantation bleed, and that the little thing is firmly embedded and stays!

Ive had a few odd symptoms, but nothing much, and am putting some down to the Progesterone Pessaries - especially the sore boobs...MAN!!!

Wishing everyone on the 2ww the best, and sincerely hoping we get some good results.

Shara

Welcome to the site and well done on getting to the notorious 2ww.

If you pop over to the General Forum you will see a thread called June 05 2ww and if you jump in you will be able to share experiences with other girls currently in the same situation as you. You might find it helpful talking to others.

If you would like me to add you to the list of testers let me know. There is a thread called June 05 Test Dates Thread where we run a list of all those testing each month.

Big hugs and huge amounts of PMA. I'm sure the Implantation Imp is doing his stuff.

Thanks Little P
Ive posted there too. Its good to know theres alot of you out there going through the same, and at different stages, so I can check back and forward and see what is happening to others.

The bleed worried me yesterday, cause I wasnt expecting it, but when I thought about it it was only a very slight amount and didnt last long. My Aunt told me that when she was pregnant she had monthly bleeding all the way through her pregnancy! She didnt find out until she was 4-5 months, as she had had periods as usual! She was a bit flabbergasted to say the least. Anyway, she carried on to a normal pregnancy, so I am not going to worry myself unduly about such a small amount.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome....and Im looking forward to sharing experiences, and hopefully everyone's big fat positive results soon..(hopefully including mine!)
