So what do we all have planned for Valentines Day then?
Lets share?
Well not really up to much myself, probably light some candles at home and do us a meal, having Alex we will just all be in together!! I think its one big expense to be honest Valentines Day don't really go over the top with it.
Hi Girls ... We'll probably do whatever we do tonight too. I won't see dp tomorrow, as he'll have just gone to work when I get home, so probably a nice meal in tonight too ..

We dont bother with it really, find it all so comercialised.
Restaurants are booked full, and it's crazy. We would rather have a romantic day on our wedding anniversary.
We are both working tomorrow anyway, not in til 7pm.
Dont need a day to say we love each other when we can do it any other day. Maybe you may think I am a bore, but's it's true.
Our special day is our wedding anniversary!!!

I understand where you come from I don't really do alot on Valetines Day to be honest. When I walk round the shops and see everything you can buy for the day I think how crazy, I am a right stick in the mud ain't I?
I'm cooking meal for dh, but like rest of you we don't go over top with valentine's. Agree with Nicola our wedding anniversary is more our day. My dh not very romantic but do get flowers on our wedding anniversary.
Hello All,
Like many of you we won't do much special either. I guess I'll cook something - but I do most nights (we have to eat and dh doesn't like cooking). We will give each other a small gift - not usually a romantic one as dh hasn't really got the hang of that yet (we've only been together 10 years!). We too make much more of our wedding anniversary and I'm being optimistic that I won't be able to celebrate the next one with alcohol as I'm hoping to be pg by then (keeping everything crossed).
I've also been food shopping today (guess many of us seem to spend some of our Sundays in the supermarket) and I'll be getting on with the irnoning when I've caught up on here - god life is exciting!!!!!!
Have fun all - whatever you choose to do on the 14th.

Well, my dh cooks a meal for me on valentines - from scratch! - which is really sweet of him, and its become a tradition. We had only been together for 2 weeks on our first valentines together, and hes done it ever since then (think he just wanted to get into my pants - tmi - sorry!!!).
he also buys me flowers and thats about it. He usually buys me flowers rather than roses cos they put the roses up to a stupid price for valentines, and then he gets me roses for our wedding anniversary in July, pink, as that was what my wedding posy was.
You are all right, Valentines is so commercialised..........but its nice to have an evening for just the two of you from time to time, don't you think?

Hugely romantic day here, not! Let's see.....we went to Ikea and so ate dinner there - how sad is that???? Since then, I've been preparing for my lessons tomorrow and watching Sex and The City which has countless reruns here. DF has been playing a new pc game he bought today so I've just fibbed and said I need to do some research so as to get him off the pc.
He's just asked me what I was writing about and reminded me of our first Valentine's together. It was 5 years ago and we'd just arrived with a group of friends in Buenos Aires, we wanted time alone so the two of us jumped on a ferry to Uruguay (like you do) and spent the night in Montevideo - watching people tango in the street. The next day he bought me a toe ring as a secret engagement present, we'd only been informally together about a month. I'm still wearing it now...in my slippers!!!
well, after all that my valentines was terrible!! a total disaster. its started off well, with the flowers, (and he even surprised me with a couple of bits from Lush - i love that shop!!!) and the meal was lovely.....but then somehow we had a row, a really blazing row!! and i spent the rest of the evening and night in tears trying to sort it out. i dont even know how it happened now or got as bad as it did!!! still feeling really low, and dh has gone to work now, so im going back to bed.
hope everyone elses valentines worked out better.........................
