Hi Fiona,

Just got ur message. I am at work and just want to say thankyou for replying. It's nice to know that I have friends out there in the same boat! I am intending to go see my GP on Friday to discuss things so fingers crossed he will say something positive this time.

I know I have only done the ICSI 3 times but I have had other treatments for IVF & IUI before they discovered that the hubby had a condition as well as a low sperm count. The specialist even told me that my chances with him are slim and even there is the risk of abnormality. I'm not bothered about the money or even the treatment but its the not knowing how I'm going to cope this time I think that scares me. The hubby won't also give up the cigarettes which really bugs me as he's been told often enough - it causes friction.

Anyway, I think I will head off on Sat for a massage or acupuncture
(i hear it is good)when his little one lands.
Thanks again for your advice, I really appreciate it.
Karen xx

fiona,

Thanks for asking! I had a good weekend and my GP had a heart to heart with me which I couldn't believe. He has also put the hubbie on a new supplement for 3 months to see if there is any improvement & if not he's going to refer me to London College Fertility Clinic for donor sperm insemination as I have taken myself of the RVH register and it will probably be another 18months before I would be due for treatment again on the private register. I'm just hoping for a miracle that the supplement will help him and he's promised to quit the cigarettes. I found out also that a friend I made at the clinic is pregnant after her first ICSI & that her sister who was told that she would never have children & has already adopted 2 thai babies is also pregnant - now that's a miracle! I'm trying to be more optimistic now and have booked a ski holiday in January as a distraction. The 2 brothers are still on stand by I've been told but I would rather have a donor - causes less agro. Any way I have my fingers crossed for you. Karen XX
