Hi Sand,
Just a quickie to say hope you have a great holiday.
Hopefully by the time you come home all of us will have AF and it will be a countdown to starting drugs instead of countdown to AF.
Try and bring some sunshine home with you, lol.
Have fun.

Hi Buddies...I popped in to collect my new schedule and will begin downregging on 26th.....I'm not looking forward to the moodiness or hot flushes again though - maybe I won't get them this time??? EC should be in the first couple of days of April so we'll avoid any problems with Easter luckily. Fingers crossed everything sticks to schedule.

Hi Michelle and welcome. How can we help you re. the smoking? do you know why you smoke? sounds silly but is it boredom/everyone else does/ it's what happens in a break/you'd eat otherwise???? You said that DH doesn't smoke now, do you go outside at home? if not, you could start so as to prepare the house/furniture for your future baby (always thinking positive!!). I'm interested in this subject as I gave up 5years ago and haven't wanted one since but that's because I did it for me, which is often the only way to stop. Have you read Allen Carr's books? he's supposed to be THE world expert. His website is www.allencarreasyway.com

Babydust to all of us....

Hi girls,
Just want to say welcome to Nicola, good luck for your appointment on 1st March, it will be here before you know it.

Welcome to Dolly aswell, hopefully you will be 5th time lucky.

Debra - Good luck with starting downregging soon. About my smoking, i started when i was 18, it was the everyone else is doing it thing that made me start and i usually only smoked at weekends on nights out, but then it progressed to a few every day and now nearly 1 years on i'm on about 30 a day. In all honesty i don't know why i still smoke, stress, boredom, i don't know, but i do enjoy them most of the time and will find it difficult giving up (as i have done in the past) but i know this treatment is waaaaay more important to me and gonna give it my best shot to give up. It's Michael's birthday this weekend and we will be going out, so i've decided that after the weekend is over then so will be my smoking. Thanks for the link to that website, i'll check it out later.

Hi to Jules, Delly and everyone else (gonna have to try remember everyone else's names, lol), and to Sandra aswell who will be well on her way to sunshine now, lucky thing.

I was looking through the schedule card thingy the nurse gave me last time we were there and she's written on it the drugs i will be taking, the first is Prostap injection then on to Suprecur injections. I tried to do a little research on them last night but didn't come up with much, only that the Prostap is a one off injection, is that right? I thought it would be daily injections or sniffing, oh well, if it's right enough i'm not complaining coz i hate needles, lol. Couldn't find anything on Suprecur though.

I'm still sitting here in my nightie, having a very lazy day so far, so i think i'd better go shower and think about getting dressed.
Take care and talk to you all soon.
Lotsa love

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to move our thread up. I have been very busy with non-IVF stuff, but the upcoming cycle always seems to be in the back of my mind.

It is nice to know I will be cycling with so many ladies whose advice I value so highly on this board. The down side of that is that I have seen some of these women cycle before. I really want this to be cycle that works ---for all of us.

I am doing really well at being positive. Roll on spring-----a fabulous time to fall pregnant :D !!!

I expect AF next week and will start BCP. Here we go!

Hi. I have IVF - 1/05 and am doing FET April 14th. I am trying to stay positive too. I have 7 frosties. How about you? Today I have my dr. appt. to start the FET process. How many frosties do you have? I am going to try acupuncture. What do you think? People have said and I have read that sometimes that can help. Hoping so very, very badly for a positive FET.... I wish we could all get pregnant!

Keep me posted!

Hi everyone,

I am going to jump over to your March/April buddies group. I had just started injections on Tuesday, so was bonding with the February buddies when all came to a halt. Turns out I have a cyst (a follicle that released an egg in my last cycle absorbed fluid). Usually these go away, but they grow huge in response to the meds and would interfere with the development of good follicles and make it hard to monitor them for EC. So the dr. said to abandon this cycle and we'll try again next month. I'm due to get AF on 13 March.

At any rate, this will be my first IVF. We tried IUI in October, then moved to Chicago where my new dr. strongly recommended IVF since the chances are so much higher. Since I am on leave from work, and since Chicago is one of the only states that has a law mandating insurance coverage for infertility, we are going to aggressivly approach IVF. We wanted to try four times--with one month breaks in between. Then in August we move back to Pennsylvania and I go back to work in August. At that point, if the IVF hasn't worked we'll start looking into embryo donation or adoption. But now I might only be able to fit in three attempts, so I'm frustrated. Obviously, I'm cautious about the success of IVF and don't want to naively assume that my March attempt will do the trick!

Anyways, this is all an emotional rollercoaster, and it's nice to be in communication with other women going through the same thing. Good luck with everything and I'll keep logging on!
