Hi girls,
Well that's work over with until Friday and i've been so tired lately, looking forward to a few relaxing days at home. My area manager offered me a transfer the other day, i work in a shop in the next town, which takes about 50 mins on the bus for me to get there, the transfer he offered was in the store in my own town. That would be ideal but with treatment starting shortly the hours in my own town store wouldn't be suitable, it's hours during the week, where as the hours i do just now are only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (but been doing a lot of overtime lately). So i told him thanks for offering it to me but i'm going to have a lot of hospital appointments coming up soon (didn't go into detail) so the hours i'm currently doing will be more suitable.
My AF is due on Saturday, been having symptoms since Sunday, been really moody and down and getting cramps, which is a good sign, so fingers crossed it'll arrive on time. Got some disappointing news, i'm still smoking, was planning to try and quit at the weekend but the mood swings i've been having the last few days i instinctively reached for the cigs without even thinking. I will try, i promise.
Jules - that really sucks that your AF is late, symptoms are good though so hopefully you won't have to wait much longer. I totally know what you mean about being addicted to ebay, both me and DH are. He's even started buying bulk lots off there and selling them on, we've already covered our costs so the rest is gonna be total profit.
Welcome to Eskavon, you've definately come to the right place, i don't know anyone in "the real world" who has gone through this, so coming on here is like a lifeline, everyone totally understands how you are feeling.
Delly - good luck with your appointment today, hope it all works out well for you.
Allette - good luck with your cycle, won't be too long before we are all joining you.

hi all....
Well i am a bit better....
Got all my results today and all is fine, all the hormones are fine, no HIV or hepatitis.....all vaginal swabs are fine, i only got thrush which i am quite prone anyway, and got treatment for now.....My DH is fine too, i have a low dosage of thyroxine from gp today and need blood test in 3 months but this can only help me, so this won't hold back the start of our treatment (hopefully!!!).
My DH went to clinic to do is sample....and i've made appointment with our consultant for 4th march in london so we can bring all our results and have his results and then she'll talk about the treatment to do, which we know is long protocol....my AF are due around 8-9 of march so hopefully if she's happy with everything we might start in march....
Does anybody knows when i have to take the pill, is is after the scan, on the same month or the following month? like the contraceptive pill, on the first day of the period?
So i feel happier that all is well and hope we'll be starting soon.

Good to hear that all went ok today and here's everything crossed that you will proceed with in March. I think my AF is due about the same date. Had a look through the bumpf the consultant gave me and it says that once AF has arrived they take a blood test for FSH and then if this is ok you start taking the pill on day 5 of your AF.

Delly - Hope you DH and the dog have a great relaxing weekend - sounds lovely I love Devon and the surrounding area. Yes it is hard not to think of anything else - as I said before ebay has taken my mind of it for a bit!! Not necessarily a good thing though
Still no AF - not sure if I have sypmtoms (can't spell too tired to think!) or if I am wishing for them.
Maybe I will start at a similar time to you Michelle - it would be really good to be on similar days - do you know what protocol you will follow? I think I am right in saying that we are both male factor when it comes to infertility?
Have stomach ache now but it may be because I just ate a creme egg and lots of rich tea biscuits?!!
Trying to stay +ve mostly ok. Good luck to all those who are giving up smoking I really admire you that must be hard.

Jules...I agree we need a really good, positive start to our group. Not sure who will be the first to start though? I begin on Saturday with my downregging but a FET will probably beat me to ET.
I'm feeling OKish...my eyes are shot as I've been proof reading all night and was tired before I started. I didn't start until after watching Dirty Den (British soap opera star) being killed off though......
We signed for our new house today and moved the date forward by a week. It's ours from the 11th March so way before EC which is good news, I was worried it would be closer. I'm a self-employed trainer and met with a new client today who wants a course starting mid-March, it's all looking a bit busy right now but as always it will help keep my mind off tmt.
Delly...you've just got to love Devon! I lived in Plymouth for a while and my mum is Cornish so I've always had a soft spot for the place. Have a lovely relaxing time.
Jules - I'm sure your pains are AF...one teeny weeny little cream egg can't do that much harm, can it? I'm so pleased I can't buy them here...I'd be scoffing them all day.

I think it's day 21 that i get a prostap injection then 2 weeks later i will start suprecur injections, that's about all i remember, my memory is so bad. Yes you're right ours is male factor too, and yeah it would be good starting on similar days. I really hope your AF shows up soon, it might already be here as i type this.

Started Af hurray!!!!! Phoned hospital and she said you need more blood test for HIV and hep B a new thing and that I might have to wait until next month as book was full - panic setting in - but it was ok have appointment 18th march that is when I will start - think I will be on different drugs this time so not sure if injecting or sniffing

I had my scan this morning, all looks fine despite last month's AF being so weird, I was pushing the consultant for reasons and he just said 'January was January, now it's February, it won't be the same'. Alrighty!
This means I start sniffing tomorrow - hooray! I'm going to have to call them though as I've only got one more scan booked, on 31st. This is the one that shows the follicles' development just before EC. I thought I'd have one mid-way to check the sniffing had done it's job. I asked but but the nurse said I didn't need one. Not sure why. Any ideas????

Hi,
I'm fairly new to this. After one cycle of cholmid i decided to go for IVF. I went in today to check my uterus and for any scarring. Everything was fine.
I started on birth control ( that was strange) and i'm going in next week for orientation. I guess i will know more then. I really don't know what to expect.
I can't wait to get started. It's really great to see that other people are going thru what i am although i with no one had to go thru it ever.
