Hi Everyone,

Hope you don't mind if I join in! I was at the hospital yesterday for my day 2-5 blood test. I'll be d/r on 15th March (prostap injection), should start stimms 30th March and e/c should be round about w/c 11th April, if all goes to plan that is! This is my 1st cycle (ICSI), I was feeling pretty positive about it all but then my af was 11 days late which has totally stressed me out as I'm normally very regular. At the moment I'm feeling quite excited but a little anxious as well, its all getting very real now. Good luck to everyone in there treatments!

Hi Jackie and Mizbehr, we're always glad to see more new faces. Everyone brings a slightly different view and is a source of clinical info / background / experience.

Jackie. There are quite a few Scots on the board, which clinic/hosp are you with?

Mizbehr. Where are you based? Most of us are British +/or European but there are quite a few Americans on here too (as well as a sprinkling of others).

It's unbelievable how many regular cycles go haywire in and around tmt. Must be something to do with anticipation, nerves, stress or picking up on our wishful thinking!

Welcome,
Debra.

Hi Friends!
I am new to this message board as well as new to IVF. We have started our first IVF but cant seem to get past the lupron stage. I have a breakthrough follicle that showed up on my day 1 that is keeping me from starting fsh. Anyone know about them? I'm still trying to figure out why it happened. I'll know on Fri if the btf is gone or if they have to remove it trnsvag. I've done my dates twice so far and had to scratch both due to the btf hanging around, so I am waiting for the ok on fri b4 I do them again. pma that the btf is gone and we will be well on our way! Best of luck to all of you that everything goes smoothly. It is so nice to have found this site. I do not know anyone going through ivf and it has been lonely until now. Seeing all of you out there makes me believe that it will happen. Thanks for the support.

Hiya girls,
That's work over with for another week and thankfully no overtime this week so i've a nice long break until friday.
Well, my AF hasn't appeared even though i've been getting cramps etc for a week now, just typical.

Just want to welcome mizbehr and pcbc, i'm sure you'll find this place a godsend, somewhere to come to rant and moan about how you're feeling etc and knowing we all understand exactly what you're going through.

Hiya Jackie - glad you took my advice and joined here.

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all ok. Our little group is growing in size now, there now seems to be quite a lot of us all starting soon.

Well this was just a quickie tonight, gotta go make a start on tea now.
Take care all and talk to you soon.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Hi, am I the first to have started my meds? I began with Synerel yesterday and so far so good. Already forgotten to take the top off (it was dark!) and wasted 4 test squirts trying to figure out where it was all going. I've started to set the alarm on my mobile to help me remember. I'm likely to forget the late afternoon one when at work later this week.

DF will be thrilled that I'll be taking his preparation seriously too. I remember underestimating how often he needs to be taken for a run in the park, metaphorically speaking. I'm sure last year I thought a couple of times a week would do but no! I was firmly put in my place by someone on the board...the only thing is I can't remember exactly how often it was! Something scary (LOL) like once a day!!!! I think I'd better trawl last summer's threads and remind myself

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hi Debra

I am really happy that you are starting again. I had a feeling you would

Wishing you loads of luck hun - It's funny after reading your post about forgetting certain things. I have done it fresh 5 times and I still have to question what I am doing and wondering whether I am doing it right  I set the alarm on my phone too - I hate it going off

I always inject 8am/8pm and the 8pm one annoys me as that's when I end up missing the beginning of Eastenders or something coz I'm faffing about with needles and stuff

Michelle - good to see you are on the starting blocks too - best of luck!!

Fingers crossed and lots of babydust to you all

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the lovely warm welcome!

Debra - I'm at the Glasgow Royal, I already know Michelle she kindly recommended this site to me. I know what you mean about cycles going haywire, I'm normally every 28-30 days, the one time I actually wanted af to come on time and it was 11 days late, crazy!

Julie - That would be really great if we were cycling together! I think a PMA is very important, I was doing really well until af was late, then I just thought oh no, everythings going wrong and I haven't even started yet. I'm feeling alot more positive now though, now that I've got all my dates to start.

Michelle - Hope af has arrived today, and thanks again for recommending this site! I'll text you later and see how your doing.

Hi to everyone else, looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi girls,
How is everyone today? Me - i'm not too good today, AF is still a no show even though the cramps are still there, i know i'm only a few days late now but startong to get anxious about it which i suppose isn't helping any.

Debra - good luck with starting already, wishing you all the best.

Jules - i'm still addicted to ebay too, i took some drastic measures the other day because of my addiction, changed my payment method from my credit card to my bank card, that way now i have to watch what i spend so i don't go overboard and incur bank charges for lack of funds, lol.

Dagny - thanks so much for your well wishes, after everything you have been through it means a lot when you wish others well who are just starting out, it is really appreciated. Oh, and i still say it was an outrage that Vic was evicted  I can't wait for BB 6, lol.

Hope everyone else is fine and well.
Take care all and talk to you soon,
Lotsa love

Hiya Jackie, i missed your post, must have been writing mine at the same time.

Dagny - how can you say Vic is a spanner, he soooooooo should have won. VIC STILL RULES :P
Nah i don't watch Fame Academy or any of those singing progs BB is the only one i bother with and now and again I'm A Celebrity. Michael thinks 9 weeks of BB is bad enough (but he secretly enjoyed last years, kept asking what was happening, lol) so i don't think he'd be too impressed if i started watching yet more reality tv stuff. I've been watching a prog based on real life crimes called Forensic Detectives on the Discovery channel every night and he says he's starting to get worried in case i'm trying to take notes on how to commit the perfect murder, lol, men eh  lol

Hi.

Michelle, good luck waiting for AF...time can pass sooooo slowly some times. Mind you, it's good practice for later on!

Dagny, thank you for your kind words elsewhere about me. Very sweet. I do try!

Ah Ebay....I went utterly and completely nuts on there about a year ago but had to go cold turkey when my sterling bank account ran out. I paid to join PayPal but luckily my s-father accidently (?) threw away the Visa statement with the magic number on so I always had to post cheques which was such a fag, expensive AND time consuming from here that eventually I gave up. I bought 27 lots from one lady on one day once....By the time I finished I'd managed to get the number 60 after my name......did love it though.

Well the hot flushes have begun - and it's only Day 3. I couldn't work out what was happening, I was sitting quietly at home working, when suddenly thought the heating must have gone haywire...but no, it's just my own heating!!!!

I asked my consultant about putting back more than 2 this time - assuming he's say no, I've never asked before. He said it all depends on the quality. If there are more than two grade 1s then no, but if only 1 or 2 grade 1s then a lesser quality embryo could go back at the same time. Ha! as if I won't spend my entire 2ww thinking of triplets. The Norwegian mother of the year in 2004, had a toddler of 2.5 and triplets of 1.5 - all girls, all ivf.......ah!

Hugs and hoping we're already, our month begins tomorrow!
Debra.

Hi Sarah - welcome to March April Buddies :D
Debra has started her meds - the rest of us are at different stages.

I am hoping to start meds on 18th March. I was at the hospital this morning with DH to get yet another blood test done as they have a new rule where you to have hep B,C and a HIV test - this is a new rule since the last time we were there in December. The nurse today said that I should ring when I start AF and I said I already had an appointment on the 18th and she said I was very lucky as usually they didn't let you have one without all the bloods back - so fingers crossed the luck is with me this time. Found out I will be on different stuff this time - last time I was two menopur - this time it will be one Gonal F - and an earlier scan to see how I am doing with the possibility of increasing to two if need be.

Michelle - Hope your AF is here?? I know exactly how you feel - I would say don't stress and it will be here but I was stressing!!! I have my fingers crossed for you - remember we are all here if you need us

Well lunch time

Love and Hugs
