Starting treatment 21st March

Post by Tracii »

Anyone planning on starting 21st March? It would be nice to have someone going through the same timeframe so we can share the journey (sometimes my husband doesn't understand all this girl talk).

After TTC seriously (charting, BBT, blood checks...) for over 6months, failed IUI last month, we are now going the IVF/ICSI route.

AF arrived on 1st March with plans to start Synarela 21st March - depending on when O wants to show up.

Thanks Julie and Dagny for the warm welcome! It is great to have found this site and with such a great support system.

Julie, sometimes O likes to show up a bit earlier then planned (for some reason knows when DH is out of town on business  )- so we may be on the same schedule. My doctor wants me to start Syranela 1 week after O shows. Definitely one step at a time - I have never been so patient before!

Positive thoughts for all the March/April buddies.

Hiya girls,
I was gonna log on about half an hour ago but felt the urge to go to the loo before i did and guess what ...... AF is finally here.
So i got straight on the phone to the clinic and they have booked me in for my Prostap injection on the 21st March then i've another appointment on the 5th April. I've phoned my Dr's aswell and got booked in on Thursday for my day 2-5 bloods, the Dr's receptionist tried to fob me off saying there was no appointments until next week, so i put my foot down and insisted i had to have one in the next couple of days so the hospital can get my results, straight away she said is Thursday ok. I'm so chuffed with myself, i'm not usually the sort of person that is insistant in what i want, i usually just take what they say for granted.
I'm so happy i could cry.

My mind is in overdrive at the moment, so i'll just finish up by saying hi to everyone and welcome to all the new people, i'll get round to proper hello's when my head stops spinning.

Take care all and speak to you all soon,
Lotsa love

Michelle

That's fantastic news. It's funny how we spend so long waiting for AF to come and then in a few weeks once treatment is nearing the end we dread it coming!!!! Ho hum such is life

Keep calm and you'll be fine.

Have you noticed that we joined 2 days apart from eachother and you have 86 posts and I have 1600 odd posts - you can tell the waffler can't you

Finger crossed and loads of babydust.

Hi new and old buddies....well, we've quite a crowd now haven't we? Hooray, the more the merrier. Traci, an extra warm welcome as I'm also a Brit abroad although my DF is only 28 - I'm not so young, haha!

Michelle. Excellent news AF finally arrived.

The meds are certainly hitting the spot. I've been the b*tch from hell today. I ranted and raved at poor DF for 30mins because I hated the cover page of the paper he works for. I was close to tears I was so angry about the choice of photograph-----hello, earth calling Debra??? He does understand but poor sod drove me to work having done a night shift and as I got out the car, I was shouting 'it's all bull sh*t'. Poor, poor guy! It's not just the meds, I'm expecting AF and got less than 4 hours sleep and I can't cope with that.

On that happy and charming note. Good luck with our apts. Welcome again to all the newbies. I'm not always like this - promise

hugs
Debra.

Thanks Dagny, just made myself a cuppa and trying to calm down a bit now.
No i never noticed that we joined only 2 days apart, wow, just wait til i get started then i'll waffle with the rest of you, lol. I haven't really posted much in the past i think it was coz i was totally new to this whole thing and you all were already going through treatments etc and i think i kinda felt like i'd be intruding in your waffle posts. I'm always getting told i talk rubbish, so maybe i should just bring it in here too
Take care,
Lotsa love

Guten morgan! Having my tea before I trundle off to work...

Michelle great news on AF! (in a couple of weeks we will all be saying chants to keep her wickedness away) Good luck with the appointments. It sounds like in the UK, this process can be a bit frustrating. In Germany because the birthrate is so low - the government is actually pushing couples to the fertility doctors - quite amazing.

Debra - I am sure the grouchiness will pass (is it worse then PMS? - not sure my DH - or my colleagues - could handle it! )

For me it is now the waiting for O to arrive - but I am picking up my meds today just so I can start my full research, timeplan...Luckily we are going on holiday next Saturday, so I can get my mind away from everything (I find myself being quite obsessive with the pregnancy topic :P )

Stay Warm!
