Hello all,
I'm not sure where everyone has disappeared to?
Are people so tired with the drugs that they don't look at the board? Or is it just that the drugs part of the treatment is ok and people don't need the support?
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. I had EC yesterday - got 6 eggs so am feeling great about that. Hoping for ET tomorrow - although I have to ring the clinic to find out how many eggs have fertilised later to day - I'll post later to let you know how I'm doing.
Debra - thanks for the concern you've shown. It is nice to know that someone out there is interested.

Take care all
Love
Debbie

hi Debbie. sounds like you are feeling a bit isolated. i do hope not. i know i've been looking out for a post from you post EC and am thrilled to hear your news. 6 eggs is great and i really hope you get great news regarding fertilisation.

if they do go back tomorrow, the test dates thread will be able to list you! i found that very exciting to actually see my name and a date, even if i now feel i'm not sure what date i should actually test! seems to be conflicting info from my clinic as to whether it's 14 days after EC or ET!

hope you're not feeling too sore after the collection. was yours under sedation or a general? take it easy today and rest before tomorrow.

hope it's good news later!

Hi Debbie

6 eggs is great. How are you feeling, ok?

I haven't been on much for the last couple of days because I was feeling a bit crap so have sat with my book and my feet up. Feel a bit more normal now though.

Hope you get good news today and that your et is soon.

Debra - I remember reading about that and thought it was shocking, but you are right no dignity at all. I always find myself shaking my head at my friends who complain about going for smear tests.

Minnow - how are you, all set for Friday?

Ambers - how you getting on?

Hello All,
Thaks for your support. I heard today that 4 of my eggs have fertilised so I'm SOOOOOO happy. That means that they'll put 3 back (cause I'm so old). I will also find out my test day tomorrow when I have the ET.
I've felt a little sore but not too bad (just nice not to have all of those needles). My EC was with sedation (but it was lighter than last time - I was much more aware and felt more of it). Spent most of the rest of the day crashed out.

Minnow - sounds like you are nearly there - find out for sure when your test day is otherwise it will just be something else to worry about. Keeping my fingers crossed for you whenever it is.

Wendy - sorry to hear that you weren't too good. Hope things will pick up for you now.

Passing on my PMA to all of you.

Love
Debbie

brilliant news! that's great that 3 go back in. have a good rest tonight so that you are feeling as relaxed as possible for that all-important transfer tomorrow.

called hospital again today and they said that test should be 14 days after ET so that puts it back until monday. hard to wait, but in a weird way, the further off it is, the more i feel hopeful...no logic at all!!

good luck and let us know how it goes.

Debbie...4 of 6 is great. The 3-back option looks like a good one. Will they do this irrespective of quality?

Wendy. I hope you're feeling better. Which book were you reading?

Minnow. The extra days will flyby, banish htps from DH's clammy little hands(!) and Monday will be here soon enough.

Hi Debbie

4 out of 6, thats fab and 3 to go back! I'm really pleased for you, take it easy tonight and best wishes for the et! Will speak to you once you have joined us on the rollercoaster of the 2ww.

I am feeling much better now, had a bit of an upset belly and slight spotting on Saturday night but nothing since. Roll on Thursday, the last couple of days are always the worst and those couple of hours inbetween testing and the result, I went back to my bed with DH last time and thats my plan again, will set the alarm for time to phone hospital!

Minnow - at least you know for sure now, Monday it is!

Debra - just read Retribution by Jilliane Hoffman, scary serial killer stuff but couldn't put it down. Also read past mortem by Ben Elton, again serial killer stuff, very good. Tenko Club which was ok but took a while to get into. Do you remember the first time by Jenny Colgan, sort of like 13 going on 30, really enjoyed that it was a nice read. Also been reading some Richard North Patterson Books - all sort of political - courtroom thriller stuff, I like his books.
If you are looking for a light hearted read try Janet Evanovich - her Stephanie Plum books, there are 10 and all have a number in the title, hot ten was the last one, they are about a female bail bonds person and her mad adventures, I really liked them, Martin hates when I'm reading them cause I just sit and snigger all the way through them as they are really funny.

Speak to you all later

Hello All,
Well I've had a great day - went for ET and they returned 3 embies. Got to see them first - 1 was 2 cells, 1 was 3 cells and 1 was 4 cells. They have said that they are above average quality so I am REALLY hoping that this time it will work - one baby would be great - two even better and 3 would be scary!

Minnow - hang on in there. It sounds like you are coping well.

Wendy - you are almost there - keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sarah - if you are concerned about af not starting give your clinic a ring. My clinic told me that some people do not have a bleed when they are on the downregging, but that was with syneral spray. I'm not sure if your drugs are the same. This time I didn't start af until about day 15 or 16 so don't fret too much.

Hang on in there everyone - here goes for the 2ww.

Love

hi all.

sarah - i agree with Debbie. if you are worried then ring your clinic. i know it can take a bit longer for AF to arrive with all these drugs. you certainly shouldnt panic (easy to say!) but do ring to put your mind at rest. well done for getting started though. keep us posted.

Debbie - yippee!!! 3 little embies floating round. how fantastic and what great news to know they are above average. obviously it goes without saying that i hope you get a fantastic result after that awful 2WW. do you find yourself fantasising about how many it might be?/ i know that i would be absolutely thrilled to have a positive result, but sometimes i imagine myself strolling along with my double buggy, but then i remind myself I'm jumping ahead just a bit!!

have a great evening and take it really easy.

hope everyone else out there is ok. wendy, hope you're not tearing your hair out yet!!

I am feeling up and down now , one minute positive next minute not so much so, its just as well there are no HPT in this house (although secretly proud of myself not to have given into temptation  )

Heres hoping for good news tomorrow, will post regardless tomorrow afternoon to let you all know.

Hi Wendy, I'm so sorry you got another -ve. ((((Hug)))))

I understand why you'd keep your message short but I hope you and DH can work through this disappointment together. This stuff sucks sometimes.

Hugs
Debra.
