Hi, a lot of chinese food contains monosodium glutamate which is supposed to be linked with infertility poss, i think it can suppress the ovaries. The mono is a thickener additive, when chinese food is cold that goes all jelly like and thick but when it is heated it is thin. If you want chinese best if you can cook yourself. I have completely gone off chinese take aways. You also find the monsodium glut in crisps and other products like sauces. It is in a lot of things now. Hope that helps Jjj x

thanx!
that makes sence, Ive heard that mono sodium glutimate is in nik naks and such crisps as that. Better start avoiding that too, along with the caffine & chocolate.
Anything else??

I have heard for years that you are not supposed to eat sushi when you are pregnant and the reason is that it is raw. (Easy to get bad bacteria) Makes sense that you shouldn't eat raw meat as well.

Also, I overheard on the news recently it has been discovered that sushi can possibly lower your risk for breast cancer. They said that Japanese women have a much lower instance of BC and it is due to the high amounts of seaweed they get from sushi. Apparently the seaweed in sushi (I think it's kelp) affects our estrogen levels. I'm just waiting for someone to tie that into how it affects fertility.

I LOVE sushi and eat a lot of it, but if it lowers your estrogen production ??? Not so sure I want to be eating it while trying to get pregnant??? Anyway, if anyone knows anything about this, please share.
