--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there

I've recently posted on the Over 40 thread but thought I'd also post on this one as we're in the middle of our 2ww.

A brief background. DP & I have been going for treatment now for over 3 years. Due to high FSH levels we were told that we would have to go for egg donation so we registered at 3 clinics and waited. We were about 25th from the top at the first clinic when it was closed down due to procedural irregularities.

A year to the day from registering at the second clinic we were told they had a donor but she turned out to borderline diabetic & was turned down. The next two donors were through the egg sharing scheme but neither responded to the treatment very well & didn't produce enough eggs to share.

We finally got through to egg transfer in September 2003 but it wasn't successful & so we went back on the waiting list.

Then DP saw an article about going overseas for IVF & we contacted a clinic in Barcelona. Great - no waiting list. So last October we started treatment again. 5 eggs fertilised and 2 embryos were transferred & 3 frozen.

We finally thought our luck had changed when we had 2 +HPTs & a +blood test but when we went for the scan there was nothing there. It was a biochemical pregnancy.

Last we week we went back to Barcelona & all 3 frosties survived and were transferred

So now we're in the middle of the 2ww and hoping for a BFP as this will probably be our last attempt.

Sorry - I've just re-read this posting and it wasn't brief after all!

Fingers crossed for all you other March/April testers.

Sarah...I've only ever used Crinone in the front (which they can only be I'm guessing as they've an applicator - or am I being very naive here?) I've not found them messy at all.

Other people have suggested one way is less messy than the other but I can't remember which...I'm sure you'll get some more helpful answers!

hi. i dont have an applicator for mine and have to put them straight in. i choose to go in the front and poke them reasonably far in. they do tend to be a bit messy though. wendy suggests up the bottom is a bit easier but I havent tried that. i really think either is fine. good luck!

Post by joy »

Just checking in. It has been a week or so. Having FET on April 14th. Start my Lupron again March 10th. Feeling confident and positive right now... a lot having to do with all the positives I received on the board. Is anyone else having FET around my time?

Let me know how everyone is doing.

Good morning !

Looks like I will start the Synarela a bit earlier then the 21 March. Today (day 5) my O came! So I will start sniffing next Friday (11 March). It appears my AF cycle is messed up a bit due to the Utrogest (progesterone suppository) I took last month after my IUI. The Utrogest caused my AF to be 1 week late with elevated temps but my O is right on schedule.

Does anyone know any symtoms with Synarela (sniffing?).

We are going skiing for a weeks holiday and not sure how the altitude and sniffing will mix. :?:

Hiya girls,
Just a quickie before leaving for work to see how everyone is, hope you're all fine.
I was at my docs yesterday getting my day 2-5 bloods done, just impatienately waiting for the 21st to come now so i can get started, i've waited this long to get this far so i'm sure a couple more weeks won't kill me, easier said than done though knowing that we are this close.
Anyways, i'd better run or i'll miss my bus.
Take care all and talk to you all soon.
Lotsa love

Michelle

So when my AF arrives which will be soon as i'm aching and i'll have to go back to clinic for scan and then i'll start the contraceptive pill for 2-3 weeks before starting injecting.....it's all so near now!!!Scarry.

So all is going well and to plan...
Good luck to you all.

Hi, lots of good news on here then...good tests (62m sounds like a phenomenal number, AFs arriving, O on time etc.

Traci. I'm on Day 9 of Synarela. I have had mild hot flushes since about day 4 or so. Nothing too bad, no sweating except at night. I have had terrible moods though. Punchy in fact but I've had a tough week with other things, extremely little sleep for a couple of nights + PMS so it might not all be down to the meds! My AF arrived today (Day 29) so you might want to expect that too, although my clinic's window for it arriving was upto Day 38 so it obviously varies a bit.

Enjoy your skiing, we've a tonne of snow here too!

Hi all
It's been a while since I've posted .. been on hols. Dear Delly we mut be about the same timing cos my AF arrived on Sunday. Just trying to get through to the hospital to arrange for my blood test to be done and then take the pill. Here's hoping all is ok.
I went for my first session of acupuncture last week - very interesting, hurt a bit more than I thought and left bruises! But I think I'll give another couple of go's.
You guys are all sounding really positive and happy which is great - can you send a little this way cos I'm feeling really nervous about the next few weeks being a first timer.
Hugs and happy thoughts to you all
Eskavon xx

Hi Eskavon, nice to see you back again. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

We'll do our best to help, the run up to treatment is both a bit nerve-racking and really exciting all at once.

Keep posting and letting us know how you're doing. Not long now and you're right, it looks like there are lots of similar dates, which means lots of support and kindred spirits, esp. during the 2ww!

hugs
