Testing for NK cells in New York area

Post by jaye »

Hi all,

A lot of you talk about getting tested for NK cells - I spoke to my Dr and she said these tests aren't available in Australia. We're going to New York in May and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to get this test done while I'm there - if so, how would I go about it? Contact details of clinics, or anything useful would be much appreciated. I've had 2 m/c's now and apparently this is one thing that can cause it.

Grateful for any info...

Hi Jaye,

I'm from Australia too, and noticed you hadn't had a reply to this query. I also would like to pursue this - as I've had both a miscarriage and 2 failed ivf treatments (both with perfect blastocysts).

Alot of the ladies that have talked about getting the testing for NK cells (+ APA & ATA testing) have referred to Dr. Beer - who has a clinic in London and California, not New York.

Here is the link to the website: http://repro-med.net/

They have a section on Collaborating Doctors - you can send an email and they'll advise if they have any. I just sent the email and am hoping there is someone in Australia.

I think I remember one of the others saying her doctor was prepared to collaborate and follow the protocol outline - once she'd done the testing.

The funny thing with the website is - you can register and go and order up all the tests yourself - get an online consultation.

Anyway, I'm arming myself with as much information on this as I can - so when I have my next appointment I can go thru it all with my doctor.

Not sure if any of this helps?
