Thanks again for all your input and support over these past few weeks. So you remember, I am the slow developer that you all helped calm down 2 weeks ago!!! I ended up with 26 eggs, 19 of which fertilized and 15 are viable for the transfer. They are doing it today at noon which is a day 5. They are putting in 2 and freezing the rest.
I want to ask how you get through the wait! Just waiting for his call every day to see how our embies were doing was killing us! Now this 2ww I read about is the next hill to climb. Any advice?
Incidentally, if this works (humbly praying but not confident), I want to read up on donating embies. I feel blessed, even if this first attempt doesn't work, to be able to produce so many good eggs. My husband is calling me the "mother hen." I won't tell you what I call him - it depends on the hormones for the day! By the way, how horrific is the PIO shot every day? Good Lord it hurts. All the ladies in my clinic are walking like ducks!
Being that I will be on bed rest today through Saturday, I will enjoy reading all of your posts. You guys are truly inspirational. I got a good book the other day too that you guys should read; "Infertility Survival Handbook." I have it upstairs so i can post the author later. I answered so many questions that i had. Like what is compacting eggs? Etc...

Re. how to get through the 2ww. Chatting on here seems to be the best way! Gentle physical activity, like strolls vs. power walking, lots of reading, nice dvds, music, relaxing, positive visualisation, affirmations (yep sounds crazy but who cares if it helps?), drink 2 litres of water a day, eat heathily, I posted a list yesterday somewhere on what to avoid, off the top of my head - no booze, no drugs, no smoking. no aerobics, no horseriding, nothing strenuous incl. housework, no intercourse, no hot baths/hot tubs/jacuzzis/saunas/swimming/sunbathing.....grrr, can't remember much else. That should do for starters!

Hi there! I am 34 and have no tubes due to a major cyst when i was 19 years old that ruptured. We went right to IVF and started Valentines Day. Had the day 5 xfr a few hours ago and am now sitting here just thinking - A LOT! I stimmed for a few days extra because I was slow and when they did the EC last Friday, no one could believe the numbers, me included. I wasn't thinking it was good to have so many but when 15 ended up being viable and the 13 they didn't xfr will most likely hit the freezer tomorrow! It could be a lesser number depending on how they do today. Anyhow, I am only concerned about the 2 in my belly right now. They made it to the blast phase and he said both were very strong. I am keeping all things that can cross - crossed!
What about you? It says you have a cycle in May? It is so amazing there are people from all over the world on this site. I love it.

Hello Brandi - best of luck for the 2ww. I'm now 9 days into my wait and am slowly going insane!!! I'm taking the whole 2 weeks off work this time and am well and truly fed up with daytime tv. All I can suggest is try to find gentle things to do that will take your mind off things (mind you I haven't managed to find anything that can do that). Pamper yourself and enjoy!!!!!
Keep thinking those positive thoughts and keep everything crossed.

Hey gang!
The ddddddh is being so good! I have a chest with ice and waters next to my recliner with 6 DVD's loaded into the DVD player to watch today! He made me breakfast with OJ and everything. What a great guy. As for keeping my mind on other things, NOT! Like all of you, the slightest itch in my belly makes me think about those little embies trying to stick and grow. My doc has be on bedrest for 3 days with only 5 minutes out of every hour off my butt to work my circulation. I think writing to you guys will help get me through. I am amazed at the differences in treatment and clinics between Europe and the US. I love reading about it and trying to understand. Anyhow, all my best. Lots of protein, water, rest and positive thoughts!

congratulations on your huge ec and glad your ET went well. You mention about the differences between clinics, im in the uk and on day 10 of my 2ww
. On the day of ET i was literally shoved out of the clinic 15mins after and then walked to the tube and then hopped on a train for 2 hours befors arriving home. My clinic doesnt see the need to rest. It worried me a bit as surley its best to rest like your doctor has ordered, plus it must be nice to be pampered for a while!! Anyway its really interesting to find out all the differences in treatments and this site is great for taking my mind off things. fingers crossed for you and everyone x

The doctor I see is pretty adamant about the rest and he just called to check in on me! He also had another reason in calling - estradiol pills and vivelle patches! they said my estrogen level was down but it is normal to see that. they asked if my feet were elevated and made sure i was walking only 5 minutes out of every hour. He is a great doctor.
