Just had call from early pregnancy unit and she was very helpful. She said that she can give me a blood test tomorrow and then again in 2 days and could scan me next week. But she made clear she didnt really know what else she could do as she is not expreienced and there was no guarantees of the result. She was very nice and at least a friendly voice on the other end of the phone. She told me I was so early on that she wouldnt see much on a scan. everything crossed xxxxxxxxxxxx Fiona---xxxxxx

Hi woppa, Now my update. Had bloodtest earlier today at the clinic, and they confirmed the positive. They also did a scan and said the same - its too early to tell anything, but they wanted to check out there was nothing obvious causing me to have my directed pain. They didn't see anything particularly out of the ordinary, but they want to keep an eye on me over the next three weeks. The three week scan is the earliest they can tell anything for definite. Sorry I wasn't in touch earlier - didn't go back into work, and dh and I have been wondering round saying 'Oh my God' all afternoon. He had to do his last lesson, so I'm back at home now keeping out of the way of my mum. Your response from the unit sounds much nicer than from your clinic and I'll be looking out for you posting the results of your blood test tomorrow. Fingers crossed and you're in my prayers. Hi Fiona and Woppa, Have been following your rollercoaster - what a nightmare. About the bleeding and directed pain, I have heard that there is somehthing called 'implantation bleeding' which is when the embryo implants itself into the womb that can cause a bit of pain and also the bleeding . From Fiona's +ve results sounds like that could be what you both are having ? Hope so .. All the best and hope the clinic get their finger out for you Woppa ! S

And Woppa – I'm also relieved to hear you finally got somewhere with the Advisory Unit. dear Woppa And Fiona IK Just have to post you dont really know me as I am new hear BUT I have been following both of your posts and I can tell you, you both have been keepin us on the edge of our seats I find myself rushing home to check out how you two are getting on, your all in my thoughts at this time hope all goes well and hopefully by this time next week you will both be on the other side(Pregnant After IVF) not that we want to get rid of you or anything but seriosly good luck to both of you I myself was told yesterday we should be starting IVF in Dec/Jan and we cant wait to get started. So anyway just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you Bye for now.

Thanks debs for the message. I would not have got through all this except for you lot.I'm forever checking this page for updates to see if anyone has replied usually to my plea!! Feeling ok at the moment , not showing any signs except today I fell asleep watching tv. Hi Woppa I'm happy that they were nice with you this morning. I think it still sounds positive and it definitely isn't a no! My dh is at footy - Arsenal tonight so I'll be on-line to chat. I know what you mean about being banned to the PC - if virtually any sport is on the box my dh wants to watch it (apart from darts and bowls I think!!!). Anyway look forward to chatting later.
