How is everyone doing?

Thanks Debra for the symptoms. Bad timing with holidays but we will live through it! (or atleast I while - not sure about DH - he may have to go snowboarding by himself) :P

I have another really stupid question..... :?: :?: :?: :?:
We are unexplained 'childless' - last weekend our timing was very good  (finally O showed up on the Monday)....what happens if we actually conceived (I am always trying to think positive) - but of course I wouldn't know until late next week but I start sniffing this weekend???

I am seeing my doctor tomorrow to verify my IVF schedule.

Hi Traci....DF has packed Zita...wah! he obviously has no idea I read her on a daily basis right now. I'm fairly sure that if you are pg then the Synarela won't be effective so when you have your mid-meds scan, they'll see you've failed to repond. I read about this last night but if anyone else has Zita to hand, is that right? I think if there's a chance of your being pg you can ask for another blood test - just to be on the safe side.

Hi all
Went for my blood test yesterday and FSH levels are ok so am starting on the pill today. happy bunny!! Next appointment is 7th April when they take me through the schedule towards egg collection day of 9th May.
Have to say though the nurse was a bit rough and feel an absolute puff for saying this but she killed my arm. Had a lump the size of a golf ball where she took the blood and its now gone to a black bruise the size of a tennis ball with pins and needles in my arm. I know you guys have been through lots worse but just a little concerned. :?

Hi Joanne, the number for the acupuncture clinic is 01642 246385, will update you on the appointment tomorrow. Maybe he'll sort my arm out!

Dear Delly, here's hoping AF arrives soon, fingers and everything else crossed for you.

I think we should have bets on how many pages this stream gets to!!

luv Eskavon x

Debra .... Did I miss you ?! YES !! I logged onto the site once in the hotel, about a week ago - but the connection was sooooo slow, I gave up after a few minutes.

We've had a great hol (Cuba). Predominently a beach holiday, but interesting times in Havana. My df (Yes - He proposed whilst away) is a keen amateur historian, and enjoys politics, and is very interested in the Fidel / Che stuff.

Anyway ... it's nice to be back (although not looking fwd to work tomorrow). I'm glad to see your move is coming along - a little earlier than expected .... I can see from your post yesterday just how uptight (? I think that's the right word) you're feeling at the moment. Tomorrow's such a big day .. I'm presuming you get the keys, start the move etc ... it's no wonder you're a little stressed. That, on top of the drugs, is enough for anyone. Hopefully some of the stress will lift in the next few days.

There's so many new faces on this thread ..... I'm finding it really difficult to catch up .... Jackie, Mizbehr, pcbc, Jude, Sarah, Tink, Tracii, Fluffy Cat, Eskavan, Donna ... Welcome to this thread everyone .... :D

Dolly, Kelly, Michelle, Nicolamark, Mia (sorry dh's postponed your cycle 'till June), Joy, Alette, Julie, Delly ..... Hope everyone is feeling positive at your various stages. I'll catch up in more detail over the next few days.

I do hope I haven't missed anyone ...I seem to have been reading for hours, and am going a bit bog eyed ..!

Hi all
I may have posted on here before - don't think so sorry in advance if I make a boo boo and repeat myself...
I am in awe of all of you who keep up with the details ..I guess when I've been around a bit longer it'll get easier?

Just wanted to say we start IVF/DE 14th April Barcelona, and as I am on HRT cycle don't have to wait for AF naturally so we should be going for it right away with hoped for ET (Please) in MAy/JUne..It seems so far away that I'd like to hang around here and hear how you get on if you don't mind...

Tracii - I am in Ostholstein - greetings in Germany - we have mega snow here.. you????

Hi all - just popped in to say goodluck with your treatment - I'm waiting for a june / July treatment so I'll be watching you all with interest. Is it too early to open up a june / July thread if people know they are planning for that time? What do you think Debra? Cherylx

Cheryl - I'm sure Debra won't mind me answering - go ahead and begin your June/July thread. It's not too early if girls have that period in mind, and I know there's a few ... Just keep bringing it to the top, then it doesn't get lost ..

why would I mind???? go for it  There are people joining the board everyday so it will help enormously if there are tiny clusters of peeps chatting and getting ready.

Traci. Zita is my personal fertility goddess...namely Zita West. She's got a clinic in London but specialises in the preparation, nutritional etc. side of getting ready for pregnancy but has a great deal to say about infertiity and fertility treatment too. Have a look at her (self named) website. I quote her book ALL the time, as does my dear friend Sandra who was away sunning herself and being proposed to when you joined the board. The book is called Fertility and Conception and check but I read on here that she's a new book coming out next month so you might want to wait for that.

CC...the fact you think to ask me means my bossiness has raised it's ugly head on here too......sigh! lol!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandra. CONGRATULATIONS on being a half-respectable woman now! lol....was it a surprise? was it romantic? was there a ring? a date? a plan? DF asked me as we walked into the shop to buy the ring...it was in Namibia but it wasn't esp. romantic other than that.....tell us all the details please! I'm still not married nearly 5 years later but I'm sure you'll be hitched sooner than that. Is it first time for both of you? Yes the move was brought forward but we made a mistake in going over there today. In theory the house is ours, in practice it was a HUGE mess, just awful. The place was in uproar, they'd said they were ahead of schedule but I have no idea what they meant by that as they were only halfway packed and had failed to fix any of the things that we'd agreed to in the contract. In fact they'd lied a month ago and said it was all being done. It was obvious today that they're 'out of there' and we'll have to get the stuff fixed although I'll bloody well send them the bills. Whinge over.

Sarah J.....well done for getting to the next stage. I've not heard of anyone not liking Puregon before. I love the stuff...painless shots, easy peasy dial-up pen....I've never noticed if it's oily or not...how can you tell?

Delly.....yay! finally!! thank goodness it all worked out. Just in time for your conference next week too.

Eskavon...that story sounds horrendous! that's not normal at all. I don't think you were being a wuss at all. I'd have cried I expect  I hope the bruising goes down quickly. Do you have any witchhazel? that's good at bringing a bruise out. What sas the FSH level?

This threads getting very nice ladies...we're working hard!

I'll be everso slightly quiet over the next few days and have no internet at all on Monday which will cause withdrawl symptoms but I'll be back on Tuesday....

take care
Debra.

Hi everyone - I seem to have lost the thread for a while - wasn't sure where everyone was posting. I'm not even going to attempt to catch up with everyone yet - I'll make some notes today and get my mind back round everyone's circumstances. Good luck all.
P.S Debra - See what you mean - this thread - I thought you meant 'test dates thread' which seems to have gone to bed! I'm still ridiculously itchy to start a June / July thread - somebody please put me off before I make an idiot of myself with replies saying 'What - it's snowing outside - how can we think about a Summer thread!' Of course - you may twist my arm if there's the slight feeing that it's not too early  Do I feel an obsession with treatment coming back on?!! Cherylx

Hi there! I put my first post on a different thread and Sand suggested that I join you all here.

My brain is buzzing with all of your info and I think it's going to take me a while to get into the swing of this fully so bear with me if I seem a bit slow and ditzy to start with :!:

For those of you who didn't read my first post, DH & I are embarking on our first cycle of IVF/ICSI. DH has kids from previous marriage and had a vasectomy. Apparently not poss to reverse it so he had surgical sperm retrieval recently and against all the odds.....great success. I had another scan with a 'dummy transfer' last week and the nurses want me to start downreg on 29th March (using Buserelin injections).

As our cycle will mainly be in April I was hoping to join you all as we journey along.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Bye For Now,
Maci
