Post by kimbo »

hi,

I wish id known this site existed earlier as ive been going mad waiting for 14 days to elapse since ET. My EC was 25th feb, 5 eggs - all fertilized (dp recons he has super sperm!!)ET was on 28th feb. 2 were replaced and 3 frozen although only grade 2 embroys so apparantly they dont have great chance but hey thay still have a chance! My test date is 14 march but i did a sneaky HPT this morning and there is a faint line :) - is this real or still from trigger injection which was 14 days ago??

Hello Kimbo,
Glad that you have found this board. I've found it to be a fantastic support during this difficult time. You are just a couple of days ahead of me. I had my ET on 2nd March and am due to test on 16th. I have no idea if your result is a result of the drugs or whether it is a true reading - guess it still might be a little early, but hey, it helps to keep positive. I too am tempted to test but have resisted - so far!!!!
Best of luck to you

Love

Post by lumi »

Hi Kimbo!

I cant believe how brave you are! I am testing on Monday too - also my first time. This 2ww is awful. DH is away, so I def. wont early test until he is back. However, perhaps on Sunday....or perhaps not......arggghhhhhh. Meds (?) are making me feel bloated, tired, sore boobs and tearful..... :(

Keep on touch....I hope your faint line is a a good sign...

Hi Kimbo

as far as I am concerned that faint line can only be a good sign, but its so hard isn't it, not wanting to get your hopes up!! :) :? dont be disheartened about it being your first IVF attempt - i am a testiment to the fact that first timers can be lucky. :)

Will be waiting to hear your news in a few days - GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Hello Kim,
Sounds as if you are coping well. Not long for you now. I'm doing ok I guess - apart from feeling up and down (normal I suppose). One minute I'm feeling optimistic then I get a twinge and think that af is about to show up so feel down again!!!!! No signs of anything really - just the odd twinge but I guess I'm hyper sensitive at the moment so am feeling things that I wouldn't normally notice. I have felt a bit sicky too but I really do think that that is in my imagination. I'm really tempted to do a hpt but have resisted so far. If af hasn't shown up by Monday think I'll give in and test (even though I know I shouldn't).
Best of luck for Monday - keeping everything crossed for you.

Love

hi Kim,
really hoping for a positive for you and of course everyone else. i shall be particularly interested in how you get on as I too have "unexplained" and polycystic ovaries so we are in a similar boat (although i am 3 years older). i have just done my first IVF which unfortunately wasnt successful, but we hope to do it again in May. our consulatant said it was really just a numbers game for us to be successful...hope she is right. our embryos were a mixed bag, but a couple of good ones went back in..

how have you found the treatment and where are you having it?? it certainly sounds as though you have cause for being cautiously optimistic.

good luck...

Hello All,
I'm getting really tmepted to test now -but have resisted so far. DH is around all day today so he'll stop me from testing but who knows tomorrow!! On my last cycle af showed up a couple fo days before test day so I'm assuming that it will show up tomorrow if this time hasn't worked. I have absolutely no symptoms of anything, even the sore boobs have gone, I think that last time they were VERY sore until af started so I'm hoping that this is a good sign!!!! On the other hand it could all be my body playing tricks with me
Still, not long to wait now.

I'll try to keep away from that test.

Love

testing

Post by lumi »

I did a test this morning - -ve :(

However, this is only 12 days since ET....so although I am now thinking the worst there is still a little hope....my blood test will reveal all tomorrow. I sort of regret testing...but I also think it has helped us come to terms with bad news. We had a good chat about our next go (DH and I!). He has been great....we have 8 more frosties so we realise we are in a fortunate position.

love lumi good luck kimbo

Hello Lumi,
Don't get too down about your result. You won't know for sure until you have your blood test tomorrow. You do sound as if you are planning your next go which is optimistic. I know it is really hard right now so give yourself some time to get over things - if the result is negative after all. I hope it isn't and will be keeoing my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I'm really thinking of testing tomorrow morning even though my test date isn't until Wednesday. I know I shouldn't but last time af showed up on the afternoon of day 12 and that will be me tomorrow so I want to prepare myself for the worst. I fugure, if I test in the morning and it is negative then I'll be more prepared if af shows up later in the day. I've been having odd twinges - could be a sign of af but nothing else.

Keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

Love
