JUNE/JULY CYCLE

Post by CC »

I thought I would start a new thread for people hoping to cycle in the Summer 8) - I'm due to sniff (if all goes to plan) from about the 21st June so I'll be hoping to speak to lots of other people planning for a Summer cycle (and any other visitors too!) A little early I know but there's nothing like pre-planning. What's everyone doing in terms of getting healthy? I'm still doing a lot of my making up for doing Feb treatment and denying myself lots of things (so I'm catching up on chocolate, pizza etc) but I will start my health preparations very soon -perhaps someone on here can spur me on to start!

I'll probably start to look a bit odd but I'm going to reply to myself to keep this thread up at top - come on Summer buddies - any news on when you're hoping to start?

I just got all excited because I saw there was a reply on the thread so I came dashing on to realise that it was me earlier duuuh! I thought it might be too early but I really hope there are other people out there getting ready for a Summer treatment. P.S - A quiz question for you - Who do you think is the first up with the Christmas decorations amongst me + my friends? Yes you guessed it - I just get soooo excited - I'd put my tree up in October if DH would let me so it's usually December 1st instead! Anyway, hope to be chatting with some of you soon x

We are still to decide 100% (clinic says ok) but we could start another cycle in May which means EC end of June - does that mean I can join in your thread too?!?!?!?!

Oh bless you - that's such hard news to take - I went to bits a bit with my last BFN (Feb) but you sound really strong and it's a good sign that you're straight back on here (took me days to chat again). It will be great to cycle together - all very hard at moment I'm sure for you but just think you're that day nearer to the time when it is going to work! Speak to you soon, Cherylx

Hi Guys
Can I join too? We are hoping to start a cycle in June or July depending on my FSH levels. It seems such a long way away it will be nice to get to know you all before we start.

I am just about to start the health kick as I was advised to start 3 month in advance of the treatment. I also have to start using Humira shots next month in order to control my high level of killer cells.

Lumi
sorry to hear about your bfn they are so hard to take aren't they, you must be feeling very raw just now.

Cheryl
Thanks for starting this thread and sorry about you last bfn.

I think summer is going to be a good time for us all

Yes I missed Joanne earlier aswell - must have posted at same time.
Joanne - of course you are welcome - whatever you decide. It'll be great if you go again (I have a really good feeling about your third time ICSI) but you're still part of the thread even if you decide not to.
Hi again Lumi - are you watching that 'Precious Babies' tonight (ITV)? I think it's so good that other people are going to understand our situations a bit better. It's nice to think that we're finally 'mainstream' and not confined to Discovery Health!
Welcome Ellie - great to meet you - I too am excited about the Summer and hoping to get healthy - you'll spur me on if you're already underway. What is the drug you take in advance and how does it help? How did you discover you needed it? Sorry didn't mean to bombard you with questions!
See you all soon, Cheryl

Cheryl
I have to take humira shots. They are to reduce the high level of killer cels in my body. I have had 4 low positive results so implantations occurs but my body doesn't allow the pregnancy to continue.

Hello All,
Just had my second -ive result with IVF and hoping to begin the next round asap. Have our follow up appointment on 25th April so am hoping that we might be on to begin again in about June (keeping everything crossed that it won't be too long). For now going to enjoy having some alcohol to drown my sorrows then going to shift some weight (good intentions anyway).
Hope to have more of an ideaof exact dates nearer he time but I'll join you all for now if that is ok.

Love
Debbie

Hi all

Debbie - am really sorry about your -ve result, it really is heartbreaking, I found it alot tougher the 2nd time than the 1st for some reason, guess I was just hoping my body realised what it was supposed to do and did it but it didn't  !!!!!

I guess I am very lucky as there is no waiting list at our clinic so the consultant said we could start in May to have EC in June or start in June to have EC in July - decisions decisions    !!!!

Am feeling alot more positive this week, dunno if it's the change in the weather - hoping spring is here so am going to make a decision in the next few days.

BUT - whatever I decide I will be there or thereabouts with you all, helping you on - when we are all big, fat and PREGNANT!!!!!

I certainly did watch precious babies! I thought the couples did a great job coping with ivf plus the pressure of a video diary etc.!!!

Great to see so many of us are preparing for around the same time

Hi everyone

Debbie - so sorry to hear of your recent result - there's nothing that makes it any easier but at least you're feeling strong and keen to go again which is fantastic - good on you. It'll be great to support each other in Summer - probably end up all quite spread out in terms of 2WW but I think that will be good because we'll all be there for each other at different stress points.

Thanks for info Ellie - I'm going to ask about tests for me if our next ICSI fails because my Doctor can't find any reasons other than I just don't seem to implant. Could be wrong timing etc but I'd like to feel there was still more to be done.

Joanne - you do sound loads more positive - I agree about weather helping - I can see why Spring / Summer cycles tend to be more successful - it lifts your whole mood doesn't it?

Lumi - I agree about the 'Precious Babies' couples - there's no way I could have coped with all that and made a film at same time. Good to see some good news though. When I was watching it I had a moment where I had butterflies imagining what that must be like to suddenly be pregnant - I can't imagine it happening but then again I sort of can too! Does anyone else get weird feelings like that?

Lovely to catch up, Cherylx
