Hi girls,

Sorry, did post under other thread in reply to Julie's message but must have got a bit lost with Luce's sad news - so copied it below.

Had a bit of a jolt this morning as woke up bleeding again. The clinic still can't do much (but are fully willing to give any moral support I want), and dh was crying his eyes out (and apologising for it, poor thing). But it seems to have been a 'flash' bleed leaving me with some spotting, and I'm just praying it will disappear totally soon. Otherwise, I still feel a bit numb with all that is happening.

The clinic has arranged for a scan on monday to check me out - they say its too early to do the beta blood tests. The pg scan will be on 11 Nov providing things go OK.

Thanks for worrying about me

Lots of Love

Fiona xxxx
Hi Charmaine,

Did you find you worried that every clot of thick blood however small could be the embyros falling out? Its driving me nuts today, and I can't get hold of the nurse to speak to her because she always seems busy with someone.

Fiona xxx

Yes - I remember not moving a muscle for days as I thought this would help - I used to have one hand permanently attached to my stomach and kept saying hold on baby... I know sounds crazy. Have they suggested bed rest with legs in an elevated positon... I just remember it being the worst 3 weeks of my life - eventually scan day came and it was obvious what had happend - the other embryo had come away and one was still healthy and growing - quite conflicting for our bodies when you think about it. The real positive with you is the fact that line got darker - this can only mean more HcG had been produced and we all know what that means. Are you at home....Drink lots of water and rest rest rest.....

All my love
Charmaine

Hi Charmaine,

Thanks for replying - feel as though I'm going a bit out of my mind at the moment after just about getting used to the test being +ve.

The clinic suggested I could bed rest, but it probably wouldn't help much. So I'm at work - I sit mostly, and the most strenuous thing I do is walk slowly.

Still have indigestion and directed pain just about still detectable so really hoping these are good signs.

It seems like the 3 weeks is going to drag incredibly.

Love

Fiona xxxxx

Hi Woppa and Charmaine,

Added problem I've mentioned before of 'mother' if I go home - that'll be more stressful than staying put until hometime, and not overdoing anything being here, honest.

The clinic did a blood test on Monday that came out positive - no levels though except they said it wasn't 'weakly' positive which is good.

Had crampy-like feelings when woke up (and guessed I was bleeding) but these only lasted about 30 minutes and not returned since.

In general have feelings that my body is going through changes. Last one I've noticed that it is now spongy where my pubic bone is whereas before you could feel the hard bone. Feeling very bloated and most of clothes don't fit anymore - already!

Felt a little lightheaded once or twice myself - but don't think anything of these because I'm prone to low blood pressure, and had an annoying eye twitch for the last few days.

Woppa - are you still spotting yourself or has all that stopped?

Lots of Love

Fiona xxx

The clinic (2 separate nurses) said it was too early to do the beta blood tests where they measure hCG levels - they only performed the blood test on Monday which is similar to the urine kits in measuring anything above about 25.

Got a stash of mini crunchies in my desk draw so will definitely take you up on that suggestion woppa. Fingers crossed for your results.

Love Fiona xxx

[Edited by fiona_lk on 24-Oct-02 14:49]

I havent got a clue what they were testing. I am so ignorant. I was just so happy when I asked her "so I am pregnant then?" and she said Of course you are !! Now worried about the phone ringing. It is sitting here besides the computer and the double deckers!!
Speak to you later --will keep you informed
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
