Hi to everyone

Post by joy »

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Whose dates are coming up next. I don't get to the Board as often as I would like as my computer is at work and, sometimes.... duty calls!

In any event, FET on April 14th. We have 7 Frosties. Dr. says he will thaw 2 at a time and implant 2.... I am so very hopeful with this one. The IVF -tive in January was upsetting, but I am so positive my Frosties will be strong...

Wishing everyone the very best!

Hi Joy

i have just had a -ve result from FET and booking another for June. We have 8 frosties left.

Its interesting that you have 2 thawed at a time. My clinic seems to thaw 3 at a time to put back 2. Did you ET in a natural cycle? I didnt - suppressed on buserelin and then used oestrogen patches. I felt awful!

Hi. My dr. said they only thaw 2 at a time because there is a high risk of twins and they don't want to have triplets if they can help it.

I am currently on lupron, then I move to progesterone and estrace for the FET. It is not a natural cycle because they told me that you have to be exact 28 days to the minute... which I am not. They shut me down and then build me up with the progesterone.

Congratulations on the 8 Frosties! I bet your next FET will be great!!!! Just keep positive... that is what I am trying to do for the FET on April 14th. Did all 3 Frosties you had thawed the first time work?

Let me know and keep me posted!

Hi again

They thawed 3, and phoned to say that 1 didn't survive and could they thaw a 4th. The next day, 1 was at 4 cell stage and the other 2 hadn't divided. They put back my 4 cell and the 'best' of the non-dividers!!

Good luck!!!

Joy - When your doctor said "there is a high risk of twins" ... ? Was he meaning there is more of a chance of twins with FET as opposed to a fresh cycle ?
