I am happy to join you. And glad not to be allone

Plan is to start injections on March 26th, EC April 8th - if everything works out.

So, I am happy to share with you all kind of experiences !?!

Hi, I've been advised to join this board, coz I start injecting burserelin on 1st April (April fools day!) and I want to talk to people at the same stage as me.
This is my 2nd attempt, first was 4 yrs ago and positive, so I've got a lovely little girl, but she really needs a sibling, so here I am again! I'm more nervous this time coz I know what happens, and last time I was praying for twins, but this time its my worst fear!
I'm scared of needles but cant wait to start, coz at least then youre doing something and not just waiting!

Am going back to clinic tomorrow (thursday) to see if my eggs are ready!! Im scared and nervous! Just want the puregon to be over and done with!!!

Hej Susie,

I am starting injections on March 26th (puregon). It is my first time, first trial, no clue if I will manage to do all this injections. Tried it only once and I am really nervous about all this.

Happy to share with you! Especially because you already have experiences.

Wow, what an idiot I've been to get out of touch with you all! I think my server's spam filter started "capturing" the notices I used to get telling me there were new replies to our group. Without the cues, I stopped logging on, though I thought of the group a lot (but not when I was online

) . Anyways, now that the tedious month of waiting for my AF is over (got it yesterday), I of course immediately logged back on and spent an hour catching up on old posts. I'm especially thinking of Sarah, and wish her luck.

So here's the deal: I'm American and seem follow a different regime than everyone else. If my ultrasound and bloodtests go well tomorrow, I start a monstrous regime of injecting Gonal F every day, and then a few day later I start in with two more daily injections: cetrotide and low-dose HCG. In only 2 weeks (March 31) I go for EC and then five days later egg transfer. Anyone else having egg transfer around April 5?

Yikes--typo or brain malfunction: I am NOT having egg transfer on April 5, but embryo transfer. Lord knows we don't need a clone of me in this world--as my husband says, one is enough!

This time tomorrow I will be on my way to the hospital - keep your fingers crossed for me that everything is ok - and hopefully I will start downregging tomorrow

I just wanted everyone to know about the brilliant list Julie made up of people on our list—it pulls together everybody’s critical dates; check it out since you are definitely on it! It’s on a different thread, so you may have missed it: go to “General Forum,” then click the thread "Roll Call March April and early May." Anyways, thanks so much Julie!

Now, one quick question: what is downregging?! Is it stimulation of follicles before EC, a trigger to start ovulating, or injections of hormones (progesterone) after ET? Sorry if this question is stupid, but like I said, I think I’m on a different regime than most of you.

Thanks for all yoor messages guys!! You made me cry, although saying that i started crying when i was watching crufts!! DH thinks im round the bend!!!

Well went to hospital yesterday to check my eggs and they said that i have a high chance of ohss!!!!! Apparently i have at least 10 follicles on one ovary and 5 on the other!! I dont know, you try your best and then get told your doing too well!!!! you cant win. So, they have lowered my dose of Puregon (which is a lot thinner so doesnt hurt as much!) and i have got to go back tomorrow. Im getting sick of doing my bikini line!! sometimes you just dont wanna!!!!!!

Will keep you all up to date soon!!!!

I know how you feel - this is what happened to me last year on our first attempt - at least they caught it and lowered you dose - it was too late for me cycle abandoned hope it goes well keep in touch

Donna - downregging is the start - thinning of the linining of the womb before you start stims. By the way no question is stupid. Glad you like the list sorry to anyone I have frightened with the reality of it all

Today is the day can not believe it is the 18th off to do some work to keep busy appointment is this afternoon - keep your fingers all crossed for me - I am very nervous about it this time
