So glad this came up. We do it too.

Get this... We've even joked about when they are older and we scold them. Instead of the things we heard growing up like "... or else you'll wish you'd never been born!" we would say, "...or else you'll wish you'd never been thawed!" Or... "it's back to the pitre dish for you young man!" ALL JUST JOKES of course! Except that my Mom really did get so mad at the six of us that she would sometimes yell "...or you'll wish you'd never been born!" That part's true. And she was and still is a GREAT Mom! he he. Hey, we had her outnumbered, she had to bluff.

My Father's middle name has yet to be used in my family (even though I have 4 brothers and 3 nephews), so we are hoping to use it if we have a boy "Randolph"

And for a girl, my dh wants "Miranda"... obvious reasons there. he he.

I am glad someone else admitted that they think about baby names. My current favorites are Declan and Audrey, but these change often. To be honest having a girl scares me, so I pick out more boy names. I also always run it by my son to see if the kid would get picked on at the playground. My son has nixxed most of my more creative names.

We have managed to get our choice of names down by a process of illimination, but unfortunately we are stuck now - we love the names left on the list.

Oh well - it'll just have to be sextuplets :!:

Hi

this is a great thread for PMA!!! I have had my names picked out since I was 14 and I don't think its a jinx at all. I think a lot of girls have a natural mothering instinct from a young age (I know i did - hence why i got married and tried for a baby pretty early by todays standards), and you can't help thinking about what you will call your children. I have always loved Katerina and Elizabeth - mainly because i was stuck with such an awful name and was teased as a child and I dont want my kids to go through the same thing (Toni-Ann urgh.......I used to get 'oooh you've got A boys NAME!' and laughed at!!) - and with those names they can chop and change them however they see fit. I like names that have lots of variations. My boys names change a lot tho as my DH is so fussy - tho we have settled now!

CC - DEFINITELY not a bad idea to name those embies. even if you didnt you would be so attached to them by the end of the 2WW that it wouldnt matter one way or the other waht happened. Plus i think it promotes a very healthy amount of PMA and I like to think the fact we named ours (Widdle and Biddle - wierd I know my DH chose them!! :? ) was part of the reason they stuck around!

My names are:

Charlotte Rose
Katerina/Kaitlyn Olivia

Thomas Harley
Jamie Denis

All the names relate to our grandparents except the first names of the girls - thats just cos we love em!! :D sorry if I have taken anyones names wihtout knowing it but really, what does it matter? We are the ones who are going to have to call our babies that for the rest of their lives, I wouldnt let anything stand in MY way, and neither should you ladies!! Just go with gut instinct............................................ :) at the moment they are still Widdle and Biddle. and besides it could all change when they are born.

One more thing - my best friend named her little girl a most beautiful name - Aleigha (pronounced A-LEE-A), which she got from Alliyah and rearranged. Now thats an original thought! :D

Love always

Hi guys!

I've had the names picked out since forever i guess: Sara for a girl and Pedro for a boy. And we haven't even decided what to do next!

They were my grandparents' names and my deepest regret is not having them around when we do get our babies. When my granny was at hospital i told her she had to hang on to meet her greatgrandchildren but unfortunatly she passed away last year. Couldn't wait to be with my grandad again! i really miss them a lot.

See ya

It sounds as though you've had enough bad luck - so let's hope this is the turning point for you. Here's to a POSITIVE future.

This is a great thread. Its made me laugh.
Dear Tiger don't be sad, have fond memories and look back with a smile.

Anyway something to cheer everyone .... you know the test of a good baby name ... you've got to be able to shout it at a football match
"There's only one Bob Smith" Substitute bob smith with your chosen name and if it sounds good then you've got a good un!

Have fun
