Hi, Delly. re. how long on Puregon. My clinic always have me on it for 9 days, then a scan and then schedule EC for approx. Day 12 and ET Day 14 - ie. mirroring a natural AF cycle when normally we'd be at our most fertile.

I started Puregon today and not a minute too soon. I'm a wreck, I've done nothing but cry on and off all day. We've not had a clear night's sleep for over a week and it's caught up on me. I desperately want to sleep now but it's not possible during the day, even though I'm not working this week. DF is being so understanding it makes me cry even more. Fingers crossed the Puregon helps rebalance my emotions.

Looks like there'll be several of us having treatment the week after next, hooray - the 2ww is always so much easier if shared with others.

Debra.

Hi All,

Sounds like April will be a good month - and before you know it we will all be fighting over day-care slots.

Lots and lots of baby dust to everyone.

AF is finally starting to show up...Doc said the Synarella can cause a delay. I have an ultrasound and bloodtest on Saturday 26th March - and then we will see when to start the Purogen....until then I will keep on sniffing and thinking positive thoughts for everyone! :P

Isn't it amazing usually we can't stand AF, but when you're going through IVF you can't wait for it to show up so you can move to the next stage of the treatment :!: :?

Good luck with the blood test and ultrasound - will be thinking of you

Have a nice break everyone :!:

I hope this is the last time the dreadful AF shows up for about 9 months! - of course some implantation spotting is always welcome!

All my thoughts are with everyone.

Debra - Has the downreg done this to your emotions on previous cycles, or is it the medi plus being really knackered as well ? I hope the Puregon does redress the balance, and you manage to get some quality rest. There's nothing worse than a bad night's sleep.

Debra,

I'm happy you started, but sad that you're so down. I always get weepy and grumpy from lack of sleep, even when wierd hormones aren't coursing through my body, so the best thing is to try to catch up on ZZZs. Now that you're off work and can relax about the big move, give yourself some downtime (read a good book, watch TV) and hopefully sleep will come. In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed now that you've started the stims!

By the way, I feel pretty hyper myself--can't fall asleep until really late, though luckily when I do I can still get 8 hours (since I'm on leave from work). Oddly, the Gonal-F doesn't list insomnia as a side-effect. Maybe it's just excitement over the procedure?

Debra - you are extremely brave to move during all this. I find myself being ecstatic one minute and near tears the next...but I think this is a mix of PMS and Synarela. My BBs are definitely not as sore anymore since AF arrived.

Can you feel the stims? (i.e. - is your tummy sore or feel bloated?)

Also thanks for the rec on Zita West - the book should be arriving any day now.

Oh you're all so sweet. Thank you.

This is just a terrible combination of things. The move which was so not what we'd hoped for (the ex owners are coming back AGAIN today for yet another round of collecting the crap they left behind, bringing more front door keys etc). The lack of sleep is our toddler who I never mention on this side as I feel awkward somehow. She's been really poorly since we moved in, hence the no sleep. Today she's slightly better but she's not been to kindergarten for a week so we've not got anything done. My cold(?) symptoms became stronger last night and the sweats/chills continue with the headache. DF is trying to get me to take paracetamol but I don't want to yet.

Sandra. The meds haven't affected me as badly before but I've never taken Synarela for a month before. Have I missed posts from you on what you're doing now?

Fingers crossed, the above are all behind me now and I can focus on getting well and treatment in a fortnight.

Debra.

Like Debra my AF has pretty much remained the same, I wasn't sniffing though I was injecting so it might be different.

Traci - if it's any consolation - I took the sniffer and when my AF eventually came it came with force - mine are usually heavy but this seemed heavier and was neverending!!! Hope this puts your mind at rest!
