Hi Girls,
I just wanted to pop on to say congrats to those of you who made the 36 week mark, and for the rest that are sure to follow. Sounds like you all have been through a lot, so it must be wonderful to finally reach the home stretch! Wishing you all safe and quick deliveries in the coming weeks, and beautiful, healthy babies in the end.

Paige ... what a horrible thing to have to deal with. I hope you're feeling better soon. Hang in there!

Hugs,
Kelly

Thanks Kappy for the well wishes, it's very exciting to get closer and closer each week. I'm feeling a bit better this weekend. So maybe the 2 week mark signals the ending of the infection?

I'm finally trying to clear out the nursery...which has been a playroom for the last 2 years! What an accumulation of junk!

Talk to you all soon!

Paige,

So glad to hear you're doing better. I hope it goes away completely very soon. Then you can rest up and be healthy for labor. I've been sleeping well too, as the rash has gone and my skin is starting to heal.

Cate,

Wow! Not long now. Is April 26 a scheduled C-section for you, or just the doctor's estimate of when the baby will arrive?

Kappy,

Thanks for the well wishes. Good luck to you, too. It has all gone so fast - you'll be here before you know it!

I had my 33 week checkup yesterday. One baby is 4 lbs. 15 oz. and the other is 4 lbs. 1 oz. I really think they are both somewhere between those two, since they have generally been about the same size and the scan operator said she could not get good measurements because they were oddly positioned. Babies are still in the wrong position for a natural birth and are running out of room to turn. I have a scheduled C-section on April 25, but don't think I will go that long.

The nursery is ready and I even have a hospital bag packed. I've been washing all the little clothes to get ready. It all seems so real! Good luck to us all!

Hi Ladies,

Paige - sorry to here about the pneumonitis. You poor ole thing. Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better now. Lets hope you're fit and strong for the delivery.

Alicia - glad to hear that the rash is clearing up. Your babies seem a healthy weight. You must be getting so excited about the birth now. I've still got 7 and a half weeks to go so it still seems like quite a long way away, which is good because I'm still not organised for the arrival.

All you ladies are slightly ahead of me and I'm so excited for you all. Can't wait to start reading your annoucements of the birth. You've all been through a lot and you so deserve your little bundles of joy.

Take care and rest up for these last few weeks.

Yes Alicia it's a planned c section with epidural because doc doesn't want me to go much past 37 weeks that's when Jess was born because of pre eclampsia.
I've just put a lot of little cardies in the washing machine we have bought new stuff to but I still have a lot of Jess's things both white and pink.
Our nursery is begining to come together still haven't been able to get the border I want either thr internet or in shops can't really do shopping for next week as Jess on Easter hols so doing Easter craft/park/pictures/having her friends around thing.
She has stared looking a bit worried about whole thing and Paul is buying her things left right and centre to make up for it I'm not sure if that's a good thing but been as he has to work so hard that's his way to make her feel wanted I guess.
I am feeling well but the indigestion driving me mad hardly seems worth eating anything so just keep eating little amounts lots of bananas avocardos etc if I have bread or pastry it's terrible I would hate to have to have that sort of thing all the time.
I am 11stone 2lbs so quite heavy but it is really just at the front, a LADY on the bus offered me her seat the other day!!! She wasn't that young and a woman how typical is that???
Anyway stay in touch this is a lovely time for all of us we are so incredibly lucky Cate xxxxxx

Cate,

So you did finally find out? You're having a girl? How wonderful! I like Kristy. It sounds like a model's name to me. Would the given name be Kristine? That was my best friend's name when I was a little girl.

We are thinking of three names we like: Felix, Emmett, and Trevor. I think we will end up with two out of those three. We are waiting for the little guys to show their faces before we decide for sure. Anyone else have names yet?

Sounds like a good idea, Paige! I certainly feel about to burst..... 116cm or 50" wide.....eeek!! Weight gain is still doing quite well though.

Not sure whether she has 'dropped' yet... some days I think so, but I am so small, I think that I wouldn't really notice the difference!

Have started drinking my raspberry leaf tea... yum yum! :? And weekly acupuncture as well, to shorten the cervix--- and hopefully the labour. Now it's just the waiting game of when she's coming to say hello!

Hope all of you are doing well and blooming!
Keep us up to date.

 Paige,

Very funny. Yes, why not a new thread for all our arrivals!

I had a weird night on Sunday. I had contractions all night, and was convinced the boys' birthday would be Monday. I didn't call the doctor, because I was able to fall asleep again - guess I was just too tired to deal with it until morning. Then I ate breakfast and they stopped. I went for my nonstress test, and no contractions at all. Glad I didn't go into the hospital that night.

Even though we know the little boys are big enough to be born and their lungs are probably fine, I would like to see them stay in for another week or two, just to get some more weight on. I've been peeking into the nursery at the hospital where I get the nonstress tests every week. The babies are so precious and so tiny!

How is everyone else?

Hi Ladies:

So I'm doing my final countdown. My C-Section is April 8th....only 8 more days! It has felt like forever....but now it seems to be sneaking up on us quickly. My Mom came and painted the nursery to look like a giant garden with waist high flowers, butterflies, bees, lady bugs, etc. It is soooo cute.

We've actually had 2 days in a row where we hit 70 degrees! We've been outside quite a bit to enjoy the weather, as of tomorrow it's supposed to be back in the 50s. That is Chicago weather for you.

Within the last 3 days I've noticed a lot of water retention. I had this with my first pregnancy...I couldn't wear my wedding rings from Nov - Jan. So I'm not feeling too bad about not being able to wear my rings for just the 10 days before I have this baby. Literally have gained 5lbs in 7 days, my ankles have turned into cankles (calf/ankle combo) and my fingers look like stuffed sausage. My blood pressure is still ok, so the Dr. isn't really worrying about it too much.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Tanya: Are you seriously 50" around? I measured in at 45" and thought it was unbelievable.
