A friend told me that Hitch is a nice, date-type film.

My MIL dropped round with kilos (really) of Easter sweets tonight. She doesn't know we're trying again but probably just thinks I'm a moody b*tch. I'm feeling like cr*p and polished off at least 25 chocolates the second she left....no shame but no more.

No I don't think there's much that's fun whilst ttc. Skimmed milk anyone??

My cold is sadly probably flu. I've only had it once before but if sweats then cold chills, a crushing headache behind my eyes, aching joints, a sore throat are anything to go by, Easter is going to be a wash. DF says he's feeling ropey too - oh joy. I started Puregon today so don't feel I can take any painkillers.

I do enjoy Easter so much more than Christmas!
Not so hyped up, and not half as expensive either.

DebraP, my love goes to you, I know exactly how u are feelin' I was there last FRiday....I am now just coming out of it....
On SAturday, I was awful, didnt get outta bed til 5pm had a bath then went back to bed again by 7pm. Didn't eat eat a thing all day. aches, hot 'n' cols shivers. head aches, unable to sleep but feeling v.tired and no energy. Ive taken the last 2 days off work, and probably 2moro also. My boss wasn't happy about me taking time off, he was quite snotty actually..... but then I found out later 4 of us are all off with this flu thing. So yikes understaffed or what, we couldnt of planned it if we tried.
Oh well, just need some quality sleep and then I am sure i'll be ok.

Lemsip, lots of water to drink and vitamin c.

Sorry, not up with film thing so really cant help you at all. Not been to the cinema in yonks!

Have a good one what ever!!

hello you poor old things!! Snow has just gone here (North Germany) and we have had some lovely Spring days. Easter is lovely in Germany, with painted eggs hanging from all the trees..(well not in the forest, like trees in front of houses and stuff!!). Luckily seem to have missed the flu thing (had it at Christmas)..
Saturday is my birthday, FORTY TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, ouch
We are going to veg a lot as we can't afford to go out (Barcelona £££££££££££) and if it's nice weather we'll go to the beach with the doggies..

I am in my 3rd week as non-smoker - jolly proud (pathetic really but if any of you are ex smokers you'll know what I mean).

Mum of the baby fund has just gone back to UK, she's a baaaaaaaaaaaaabe. We had a lovely time when she was here, she needed a rest after all the time with Thomas (my nephew, 9 months, sister pregnant ..you get the picture). It was nice that I could offer her that, made me feel special.

Baby dust to Amers   and lemon and honey to the fluers (Germans have this amazing herbal bath for colds, helps you sweat it out, has pine and rosemary in it.. probably bad for you if pg but otherwise..dunno if you can get it in the UK)

lol bigJ

Hi gals, just a comment about being naughty every once and a while...I just found out that I am not pregnant after my first Ivf(also have 7 failed IUI's behind me) I went STRAIGHT to the liquor store after work and bought the biggest bottle of Merlot and am now at home relaxing with a glass while cooking a fabulous(if I do say so myself)dinner for me and dh...I'm trying so hard to not fall to pieces, but at least we do have little pleasures in life that get us through...God Bless, sammy

I know I'm feeling off-kilter but reading these messages of support has made me cry at how fabulous our mutual sharing and understanding is.

Thanks for the tips re. this whateverI'vegot. It's not that serious as I'm up and around now, despite the sweats, but couldn't breathe a couple of times in the night that scared the bejesus (sp?) out of DF. A friend rang last night to say she was in town unexpectedly (to divide up the house-contents with her soon-to-be-ex.DH) so I offered her dinner and a bed for the night. We talked too much and by bedtime had lost my voice completely. I'll go gently today.

Happy Birthday for Saturday BigJ...I'll be having a quiet one. Nearly everyone goes away to their cabins for Easter, we feel like the last people left on earth! DF has to work tomorrow night so we'll just take it easy here and get better. The melt has begun and soon I'll see what kind of garden we've bought. We've still got about 3 feet of snow but soon.....

take care,
Debra.

Danica - sometimes being naughty is a good thing :!: You never know a relaxed mind could be just what's needed :!:

Hope everyone has a really special Easter - I think this year an "egg" of a very special variety will be given to all of us, what do you think :?:

Watch out for the Easter Bunnies and keep smiling :D

Over here the chocolate "Osterhaase" (Easter Hare) is the real problem and they are soooooooo Yummy

MIL has sent money for us to go out for dinner Saturday - isn't she a sweetie????

Haven't given up my wine yet - planning to do that after first visit in Barcelona, can';t give up everything at once can I????

Weather here is wonderful today, first Spring day. Crocuses are out, no daffs as yet, I do love Spring! My mum always btells me that it was freezing in 1963 when I was born, and the pipes burst, she was stuck at home with new baby (me) and no water! in those days! still I survived
