Sense of humour is definitely something we all need - it's especially nice to find someone to laugh and joke with, but who also understands the serious side as well, thanks
missed it too - the radio times said 9pm sat down at 9pm and it was something else!! Oh well never mind

hello all I am very new here and don't know all the abbreviations etc.... the programme last night was about surrogacy but came closer to mine and my wife's IVF treatment than anything I have seen- or read about here.
I am female and so is my wife (obviously )
My wife is going to carry the baby after being implanted with my eggs. Her FSH is too high- apparantly she is going through premature menopause, this is something we found out only when we wanted to have a baby and were going to use donor sperm.
so last nights surrogacy where one of the couples was Using IVF to move eggs from one woman to her friend was much more what we are doing...
anyway just thought that I would share.
we go next tuesday to get the blood test results for me and then a week afterwards start the treatment..........
Hi Smiler and welcome to the site! you will find so much information here and everyone is so lovely. I have found it fantastic and just wish i'd found it sooner!
I watched the programme also but it wasn't as relevant to me as the first one (about IVF) as that's what we're about to start. Saying that my wonderful sister has offered to be a surrogate for us if it turns out that I can't carry them myself so I did watch it with interest!. We have unexplained infertility and until we have IVF we haven't had any answers yet so still don't know what the problem is - very frustrating!
Don't worry about the abbreviations (I still haven't got the hang of them!)
I wish you and your wife all the best for next week. We will all get there eventually, I just know it!! Lots of PMA (i'm sure you know that one!) Take care x

Hi Little P ... As per the Radio Times, it's about a couple who have a 1 in 4 chance of their baby having a fatal genetic muscle disorder, and they have therefore decided to try IVF to allow drs to screen the embryos prior to ET. Also, about a couple forced to travel to Spain for tmt.
