Hi girls unfortunately my news wasn't as good today as Julia's.... I woke up and had started bleeding - tried to keep positive until I got to the clinic this evening - they did my test today and unfortunately it was negative  They couldn't give any reason for it failing cos they said taht all had gone well and I had produced 2 great quality eggs!!! Sadly they just didn't implant  I will be heading north tomorrow with my DH for Easter to visit my parents and get some TLC. (might even have a few drinks - think I deserve them now) Just can't help wondering was it something that I did wrong during the 2ww..... but i thought I stayed off all the right things like caffeine, drink, chocolate and rested - baffled - if you have any suggestions as to what I could have done differently I would appreciate as I'm sort of blaming myself - I know my DH isn't cos he says that there's nothing that I could have done better - will always wonder! Sorry for taking away from Julia's great news! Thanks to you all for your well wishes and support :o We're going to take a break before we decide what to do next - have to build up my energy and get my emotions back on track before we plan ahead.. Thanks again xxxx

Emma good to you for 30th - here's hoping we get another smiley face on the board

Im so sorry Amers, my thoughts are with you. Don't blame yourself, nature can just be very cruel sometimes. Have a rest, have a drink and a big cuddle from your DH.

Congratulations Julia!

Amers i am so sorry!, there is nothing you could do differently, unless there was a way of supergluing them in (mmm that may not be a bad idea).

I am feeling a little emotional at the moment (must be all the drugs and hopefully not PMS!) and you email made me cry as i know how devistating a - result can be. I will be thinking of you and stay strong - next time it will work!

Amers - So, so sorry to read your post. I've been there, and know just how you're feeling. Don't punish yourself. We can all wonder afterwards if it's our fault, but it's not. It just wasn't meant to be this time.

Take care, and you are doing right planning a break. It will do you the world of good.

Amers...so sorry this wasn't your time. There isn't anything else you could have done, we're not in control of this process which is often the most difficult part to accept. You did everything you could, the clinic have learned more about you and your responses, it's all a learning process.

I'm glad you're going away and will have lots of support from your family. TLC right now is really important but please don't blame yourself or beat yourself up. Be good to both you and DH.

take care

Amers,

I am so sorry for you. You've just got to hang in there? After my first IVF cycle failed I thought it may have been something I had done but just come to realise that its totally out of our hands. It took me a year to try IVF for the second time, I personally went into it alot more relaxed because I knew what was coming. So good luck to you and DH in the future.

Hi Ladies

well done Julia, it's also helpful to know that you've been through BFN and it gives me (us I am sure) strength to know that never give up is a true mantra ...

Amers, so sorry sweetie, you are being brave and it's so important to keep close to DH at this time. I went inside myself and dh was so stuck as he didn't know what to do for me...you're doing the right thing have a big hug with him

love
