Whilst you are all chatting about your big name concerts I thought I'd make you laugh with the choices I have to see 'famous name' live music.
Procol Harem were here last month (never heard of them? hmm, says it all. Think 'Nights in white satin' original). Smokie (minor UK 70s) band often come by, Bonnie Tyler comes out now and again. Last year Snoop Dogg was due and we charged out to buy tickets even though he's much more DF's thing than mine. Snoop cancelled and 50Cent came out, unbelievable for a small town in Norway....didn't go though, I'm so not a fan of his. Paul Young tours now and again (even though he has no voice now)...see? I'd kill to see Kylie.....
We do get some renown jazz players but I'm not a jazz fan sadly.
I can totally relate to your situation Debra. I live in Central Queensland, about 650km from the nearest large city. We are subjected to all kinds of country music acts and rarely get any decent bands coming thru here. We have lived here for nearly 6 years and have only been to see three bands in that time....Silverchair, Midnight Oil and Grinspoon.....all good Aussie bands but visits are few and far between. I miss living in the Nation's Capital and having access to all kinds of great things (shops!!!!) however, I guess that is the trade off for having great weather all year round!

Hi Julie - I'm fine, ta. Just counting the days down to start of downreg (5th).
I've done a touch of painting this afternoon too. I've 3 cats, 2 of which insist on sharpening their claws on the wallpaper in EVERY DAMN ROOM .. Aagghh !! Nightmare...
So, I spent about an hour with the sandpaper, sanding the wallpaper in the living room. I know it sounds bizarre, but it works as it's only anaglypta (spelling ?) painted white. Anyway, all done now ... 'till next time !
That easter egg of yours does sound yummy .. I've just stuffed my face with hot cross buns. They're not fattening, right ? (ha)

Hi everyone. Welcome, Lisa. Traci, it's great that you got started. Hope everyone else is doing okay! Did you have ER, Julie? I'm curious how it went.
So I'm waiting 'til tomorrow to get my Easter eggs. In other words, I have my ER tomorrow at 6 AM! It's been a stressful few days. My computer completely crashed and I lost over a week's worth of work (still waiting to see if they can recover old files). A few hours later I had an ultrasound and they said that only 4 of my follicles are a good size for ER and since that's a small number the doctor might cancel it. Naturally, the computer issue became irrelevant. But this was all an eerie reminder of last month, when in a 24-hour period my car died on the highway en route to a doctor's visit (the transmission went and we had to get a new one, so this wasn't a minor breakdown), and then I found out that I had a cyst and we couldn't go through with the IVF cycle. In the end, however, this month turned out much better than last. The doctor says I have enough "borderline" follicles (ones that aren't quite the magical size 18, but are getting there), so we're still on. Phew, what a relief! Anyways, things aren't optimal but I accept the situation for what it is: I'm 39 and have a high FSH, so this could be as good as it gets. Will try two more IVFs if this doesn't work, then we'll look into adopting.
Debra--I like Procol Harem!
Cheers,
Donna

Donna good luck with the ER - will be thinking about you and sending positive thoughts across 'the pond' to Chicago. (I am actually an ex-Chicagoan - born in Chicago and lived in suburbs of Chicago during high school).
Just wanted to say hi to Donna and send big ++++ vibes.. I was high FSH (17) and in my IUI only produced 1 18mm follicle, so you are doing very well!
will keep everything crossed for you, and whatever happens don't give up! We made the mistake of wiaitng for another go (although that was partly due to illness on my side) and by the time we were ready to try again (2 years later) my FSH was in the 90's. We are going for donor eggs now.
Tracii - glad things are moving along quickly for you, sending ++vibes to Munich (you've had nice warm weather down there havn't you??)
I was 42 on Saturday, had a bit of a weepy day but dh surprised me with dinner out ina Greek Restaurant and we met with friends whioch I wasn't expecting so I feel much better now.
Love and baby dust to you all

Donna I meant ER the TV show - sorry I am forever using my own abbreviations and confusing people. I never thought of it meaning Egg retrival as well as I call that EC (egg collection). I hope your ER goes ok today - not sure of the time difference but I guess it will be soon - 6 am is early!!
Sandra hi- the 5th will be here very soon I am sure - I am currently waiting for the 7th for my baseline scan. Cats do like wallpaper we mostly have paint now - they also like the stair carpet.
Has anyone else had a rash from burselin injections - my left hand has a rash and I think is also a little bit swollen!!
Hope everyone else is ok?
Take care

Hi Donna ... I hope ER/EC has gone swimmingly for you ! Let us know how you went on, as soon as you are able ..
Julie - Luckily, I've never had any side effects from buserelin. I've just had a look in a medical book and it does list a rash as one of the possible side effects (along with about 99 other things). It doesn't say anything about swelling. Could it be just a little inflamed, rather than swollen, if you've been scratching ..? You can't be worrying about this as well as tmt, so I'd say get it checked out with the gp if you're still worried tomorrow - or give your hospital a quick ring.
