5 month wait.......

Hi all, wonder if you can help me. I am hopefully going to be starting IVF in May. Not wishing to be too pessimistic(!) but if it doesn't work, is it true that you have to wait about 5 months before you can have another try?
Not sure where I heard this but it's bugging me now so if anyone can help i'd be really grateful

Harri.....I've only heard of clinics asking for 2-3 new AFs. Some clinics will let you start more quickly if they feel you're system is clear of the other meds. Having another natural AF or two is about minimum I think.

You won't need to know though! Think positive!

Hi Harri

I had to wait at least 2 months before going through another treatment - they said they would prefer 3. Apparently it's to make sure that all drugs are out of your system and so reduce any risk of over-stimulation

It's a pain, but believe me the time goes really quickly

Remember PMA at all times and just focus on May

Harri - My hospital insist on 3 clear AFs. I was really upset about this at the time, but looking back I think my body needed that rest / break anyway. A cycle does take it out of you.

Hi Harri, You'll have to post on the 'may buddies' over on the general forum. I am due to start IUI in may.
I dont know why you'd have to wait 5 months, I guess all clinic's are different. Good luck!!
