Loobyloo

You started this thread on Monday feeling very miserable, alone and looking for support.

As a result of your message I have found my 'twin' and have gained support and comfort from you and other 'friends' willing to give time and advice.

I hope you have gained something too and do not feel so isolated - your last message certainly looks much more positive.

I shall raise a cheer to day 10 (and postitive thinking) with a glass of water for both of us (we can pick up the pieces later if need be - that was the reality check)!

Hi Twin!

How spooky, both 4th go, both day 9, both going mental....

Yes, am soooo glad I started typing, have already gained alot of support, it really helps to hear from you and the others, makes me know that that I am not so islated after all. Am having a positive day today, not sure how long it will last so am making the most of it.

Had a good cry last night, was watching Holby City and the newborn baby scene made me weep like a goodun. I would have sold my soul to be in that postion holding that baby. Then told myself off for being stupid, broke off a small piece of easter egg (am trying to avoid stuffing my face for comfort) and took comfort from the chocolate instead! Blamed it on the hormones...

My PC at home is sick so only have access at work but hopefully may be mended soon so can keep each other sane over the weekend. Nice to know that I can air all my anxieties without looking totally neurotic (or at least have other neurotics understand!)

Off to the loo again....

Hi,
Haven't been on the site for ages due to probs with PC but just wanted to say 'stay positive'. I had my 10th tmt last year - first one at the Park in Notts and had immunoglobulin, steriods, heparin and viagra on top of normal tmt drugs and am very pleased to report I now have a healthy 10 month little girl.
It was also my last tmt.
So I've my fingers and toes crossed so tightly!!! I remember only too well the sheer hell of the 2 ww, the ups and downs, 1 min convinced its worked the next convinced it hasn't, the constant running to the loo for knicker checks!
Take care,
Di

Well, have made it to day 10. Am feeling quite anxious, as I have never made it this far before, I always started bleeding before now. Feel like I am in unknown territory, terrified but everso excited at the same time.

I can really relate to the comments about running to the loo for knicker checks, that made me howl with laughter!!!

How are you today Caroline? Everything still ticking along?

Thanks for all the encouragement from everyone, it really has helped the week go by.

Keep smiling

How do I feel on day 10 - well apart from checking my knickers every time I pee and checking my nipples every hour (a friend told me her nipples went darker when pregnant) I am doing great. Don't know if I am more frightened of be pregnant or not - both outcomes have massive implications.

I am going to lunch with an old friend who is in trouble with her relationship - I think it will be good to focus my attention on someone else other than me!

I will log in later this afternoon.
Caroline P

P.S Pregnant friend recently told me that her nipples went darker towards the end of her pregancy but it doesn't stop me checking (DH thinks I have gone completely mad)!

Hello Folks,

I am relatively new to the site, although I went on during my last IVF cycle in July 04' and read some of the postings.

I had FET yesterday, good embryo development but I have heard that before! Unlike some of you I am only on day 2 of the 2ww, Loobyloo & Caroline fancy swapping?!?!?!?

Much calmer this time as we have decided to keep it quiet, no expectations from other people its bliss! Will have to hide away for a few weeks though otherwise people will suspect.

Wishing you all the best of luck and I will log on daily to hear the results, I have to wait until 13th April to do test. I want to do a private test at home but the nurses at Liverpool are insisting I go to the unit. Anybody else fighting a similar battle?

Speak soon xxxx

Hi LOS

Good luck with the FET, although it seems to take forever, it does go by, eventually. Lots of support here, loads to make you laugh and feel like you are not the hour/day watcher in the world.

Off to the loo again!

Hi LOS - Welcome. The dreaded 2ww ! We all know what a nightmare you're going through. Debra will add your test date to the Test Date thread, then we can all spur you on.

I actually would welcome going into the Unit for bloods on test day. I've never actually got that far. Like Loobyloo, each time I've bled before test day.

Hope you manage to keep +ve. You've logged on at just the right time. Anytime you're feeling a little down, you'll get lots of support here.

Good luck !!
