Hi Liz! Thank you for your success story! And I hope this one takes for you as well!

I take my temps every morning - and 'normally' with pregnancy and the pumping of additional progesterone your temps will be higher. Some woman see a dip when implantation occurred. But remember - nothing is really 'normal'.

Hiya folks

I have just spent a miserable day in meetings, listening to horror stories about the dreadful things people do to their kids and I am feeling a bit depressed. Why is it that so many undeserving people are blessed with children when there are so many of us that would love our babies if we were given the opportunity. It doesn't seem fair somehow.

I work in our State's child protection department and I am still coming to terms with some of the awful things some kids are subjected to by people (and I use the term loosely) who are supposed to love and nurture them. It makes me so angry.

On a more positive note, when I got home there was a message on the machine from my clinic letting me know that I had successfully downregged. I picked up my esky full of drugs yesterday and start the Puregon on Sunday.....so far, so good! The needles look very small so I don't think I will have a problem with the injections....too bad if I do!

Sorry about rambling on....DH is out of town and the dogs and cats just look at me oddly when I moan to them.....unless the conversation contains words such as walk, drive or dinner they really aren't that interested.

I hope you are all feeling optimistic and remaining positive.

Cheers
Heather

Dear Heather
sorry to hear about your poo day at work, it must heart breaking to deal with what you have to. You must get so frustrated. Dogs and cats are great listeners though and they never answer back so pour your heart out to them.
Glad to hear the injections are going well and thanks for the glimpse of hope that the needles may not be that big.
Keep your chin up and just think what a fab mum you'll be :)
Happy thoughts to all as usual, lots of baby dust

Hi Heather - Congrats on the good news and starting Puregon on Sunday!! I must be insanely difficult to do your job - you have a lot of courage. I talk to my dogs all the time - DH thinks I am crazy...but they provide such unconditional love and affection and as Eskavon says - they listen and don't talk back.

Welcome, Liz, and good luck to Heather in getting started.

I've had a day to process things now, but I had bad news yesterday about my EC. Turns out that of my 11 eggs only 4 were mature and only 1 fertilized. So I'll find out on Friday if that one survives and can be transplanted. I''ve been prepared for bad news, and had no illusions of first-time success (just a few happy dreams), but when this happened it was still devastated. Yesterday all I could do was mope and sleep. But don't let me get everyone else down--many of us are sure to succeed! Hopefully one out of three of us will end up with a baby, and maybe even more.

Cheers,
Donna

Hey Donna ... I can imagine how disappointed you must be feeling, but as we've said many many times, it only takes the one. Let's all cross our fingers and toes with you, and hope that s/he's a real little fighter.

Lots and lots of +ve thoughts, and waiting to hear good news on Friday.

Donna,
I'm sorry about the low number, but it's true - it only takes ONE!
Plus, from all I've read and the ladies on here say, each round of EC is different. You could very well get a lot more the next time.
:D Chin up!
May God Bless You with Children! (even if takes a lot of work)
