Hi Randa, Thanks for thinking of me...I've not posted in a while , I went for my follow up visit today w/ my dr. and he wasn't very positive...My dh and I are taking the summer off to be husband and wife again(this process can take alot away from you) I am sad that I did not have success, but only God knows what's in our future. The Dr. wants me to consider a newer procedure PGD(pre-implantation something???) I don't think we'll do it because it's fairly new and there isn't enough info. on the success or failures yet...maybe we'll do one more IVF, after the summer, God Bless all of you, Sammy

Sammy,
"Time off to be husband and wife" what a breath of fresh air! That sounds like a good investment to me :D This IVF stuff can consume a couple to the point they forget how to connect outside of it.
I'm sorry your doc didn't have positive feedback at this time.
Peace be with you, Sammy.

Congratulations!!! It's always great to hear a success story. Take care and enjoy your pregnancy!!! :D :D :D :D

Sammy

Sorry to hear your feedback meeting didn't go the way you expected, but it's a great idea to have some time off from tmt and just concentrate on other things - that is what I did last year and it certainly helped me prepare better for tmt.

Take care

Sammy

All I can say is what the others have - I've just had 6 months off since my last treatment and I have to admit that it has done me the world of good.

I feel that I am ready to move forward with a clear head and no baggage :!:

Have fun and just enjoy each other.

Kerry....great news! Congratulations, thanks for letting us know, we all take heart from +ve results.

Sammy. What was the procedure called? you know between us we have a TONNE of doctors/clinics/info to share. The summer off sounds like a good idea. I know DF is just about ready to see the end of me on Synarela, I've started throwing things which means I've got to watch my step. It's bloody difficult for both people so enjoy being a couple again.

Debra.

Hey Minnow ... I read that somewhere too ... So, last year when I was cycling in July / tested Aug, I mentioned this to the sonographer. She believed it to be absolute twaddle. So much for PMA !

Seems ages now since I was part of 'March testers!'

Glad the final test was positive, it started and ended with a +ve.

Good luck with the April testers, I'll still be watching to see how everyone is doing.

I don't have a follow up appointment until May so I don't what we are doing next until I've been back to the clinic. I was a poor responder and only produced two eggs so they might say it's not worth doing again.

Did anyone respond as bad with Menapur? Are there other drugs which will produce more follicles or do all clinics only use one type of brand?

Also how long does it take to get back to 'normal' with your AF. I am always 28 days, wasn't affected by 1st IVF) but this time there's no sign of it and I'm a few days overdue with no usual signs (I haven't burst into tears at Corrie!) Normally I would have been getting excited but I'm assuming it's the drugs and I'm not wasting £10 on an evil HPT!

I've also bought the Zita West book, does it work or is it a waste of time and energy changing my diet and lifestyle?

Hi Lesley. I was always v. regular - 28 days - until IVF. It's really messed me up - never early, but now often 2 or 3 days late.

I don't think it can be a a waste of time following Zita's advice. Also, you need to feel like you're doing everything possible to help the process along.

I hope something +ve comes of your consultation in May. May's not that far away ..
