Hi, just picking up on the Roscea theme. I first noticed mine approx 7 years ago when my mother had aneurysm and nearly died so could have been bought on by stress as no-one else in my family has it. First my doctor prescribed a waterbased cream etc and finally last year, he sent me to a consultant. She now has me on Doxycycline (100 mg) tablets which to be honest half the time I forget to take as they are in my bag & also an antibiotic cream which is in a rollerball dispenser which I apply once at night. If I was being good and taking the tablets every day as I should she reckons it should clear up in 6 months. The tablets are safe to take up until 12th week of pregnancy, but I'm going to stop them now until I see what happens in my next cycle of IVF.

Hi Pauline ... Thanks for all that info ...Doxycycline does ring a bell ... I think that's a course he's been on at some point. As I said in a previous post, the meds seem to work for a while, then he has to move onto something else .. It's a real pain.
