Hi Sandra,

It's so nice of you to stop in! Yes, it does not seem real, even still to me.

I hope all is well with you. I miss our August Buddies group. It's not the same without all of you. As you can see, it is much quieter over here.

Hi Girls
Just thought I would share our good news. Ella and Poppy were born by C section on March 18th. They spent 2 weeks in special care due to being a bit early and not feeding, but we have them home now and our world has been turned upside down. We are knackered but enjoying every minute of sleeplessness!

Good luck with all your births. Its been a welcome end to a very emotional journey. :D

Sand: So nice of you to stop by and post. We miss you too. How is everything going? The countdown continues, and we're looking forward to seeing what is wiggling around in there at all hrs of the night. Wishing you the same success that we've been lucky enough to have.

Janem! Congratulations! My b-day is March 19th! So you've been home for a few days now, recovering from a C-Section and mothering twins! That is quite a load, I hope you have some help. I love your names! Ella has been on my girls list for quite awhile. Are you trying to nurse both of the babies? It seems nearly impossible! So you are the first, I'm so happy that babies and you are fine. Keep us posted!

Janem,

CONGRATULATIONS on your two little girls! What lovely names. My aunt is named Poppy - actually her name is Pauline, I think, but nobody calls her that. So happy to hear that all are doing well and you're at home now. I can't imagine having twins, but hopefully I'll be experiencing that any day now...

It seems so strange to be at this point after everything. It's like the whole time I've felt it was not really happening. So to hear that you're home with the babies is just amazing. Good luck getting into the routine with them.

Congratulations Janem! It must be wonderful to have the girls back home with you now.

I expect that quite a few of us will be updating us with good news soon.

I've had some contractions, but nothing regular. We're getting quite excited about meeting our daughter soon.

Keep us posted...

Janem - Congratulations ! :D :D :D
It must have been tough with the girls being in special care for a couple of weeks. Bet you're glad they are home with you now.
Keep us updated on how you are getting on - if you get a spare minute that is.

Sandra - Thanks for your well wishes. I wish you all the luck in the world with your treatment.

Hi everyone,

Like Sandra, I was just taking a peek over here to see how all of you are coming along since I realized you must be getting close. Has the time seemed to go by fast or slowly?

At any rate, I will be keeping my eyes open for lots of happy announcements in the coming weeks. Very exciting!!

Wishing you all the absolute best.

love,

Staci

Hi Girls

Sorry i have not posted for a while Jane M congratulations on your 2 new baby girls they are beautiful names.

Paige good luck for friday im sure everything will go nice and smoothly for you shall be looking for your next post

i am now 34 weeks have had a bit of a rough past 2 weeks i started to bleed a little at 32 weeks went into hospital and started getting contractions was transferred to another hospital an hour away as our local hospitals special care was full anyway they managed to stop the contractions i was given the steroid injections also incase they came the bleeding also stopped it was only a little bit but made me panic they let me go home a couple of days later but since then i have lost some water from around one of the twins and the same twin has also stopped growing so they are keeping a very close eye on me i have an appointment this thursday to check the babies heartbearts and then a scan next week i will be 35 weeks then so not sure what they plan on doing then i cant wait for them to be born as i am so uncomfy i can hardly walk Alicia not long now girl which one of us will deliver first i wonder one of my twins is head down the other is a right ole fidget and is in a different position each week i dont think its very comfy for them to both be heads down as the couple of times they have been i have felt like my hips were being broken you never know yours might still turn but even if they dont everything will be just fine. even though i havent posted on here very regularly i do think of you all often, anyone getting nightsweats and bad dreams i have been getting them for a while now the commonest bad dream i have is that i still am not pregnant and then when i wake i feel my babies move its the most wonderful feeling in the world and soon i will be able to look over and see them both lying there in there cots im so excited but so nervous

anyway girls all my love to you all and to all the bumps to
love Ang xx

Angela:

I'm so sorry you've had such a rough couple of weeks. The good news is 35 weeks is kind of a milestone isn't it? As far as health goes for the babies? You're right there, hang in there.

I've had the night sweats...been sleeping with a fan and no covers! I've also graduated from long sleeve PJs to a camisole top and shortie PJs, I feel like I'm generating enough heat for a small country. I've also had contractions that wake me up in the middle of the night they are so strong. They are never close together though....just painful enough to make me not be able to sleep!

My 5 yr old daughter keeps telling me...you know Mom, you're having the baby in 3 more days...don't you think you should decide on a name?

I think I have everything in order here, might run out and buy the Fisher Price Aquarium baby swing though....it reclines all the way for a newborn and it swing forward and side to side. My friends give it rave reviews and love the side to side swinging for a newborn/infant.

I'm off for an eyebrow wax and a pedicure...can't go into the hospital all scruffy now can we?

Wishing all of you good health and happiness in the next couple of weeks!

Angela,

What a scare that must have been! I'm so glad you're doing better now and that the twins are still snuggled in there. My doctor said beginning at 35 weeks that they would let labor progress if it began because the babies were big enough and the lungs were developed by that time.

We had to go to the hospital for a nonstress test yesterday. We stopped by Labor & Delivery and the Maternity ward so DH could see where they were and how they look. We saw twin girls that were probably about an hour old in the nursery getting ready to go back to their mom's room. SO adorable! I could not help wondering how they could fit inside though. They looked about 6 lbs. and 7 lbs. - HUGE for twins.

Paige,

I want that swing too! Everyone I know loves it. But our house is very small, so I'm waiting until the last minute... Eyebrow wax and pedicure? Aren't you lucky that you can still leave the house? I'm not on bedrest, but nearly so just because of my size and I get tired very easily. I've been spending the last week napping, eating, sewing and trying to learn to knit. It's a lot of fun actually. I want to finish my husband's jammies before the boys are born. I'm sure there won't be much sewing going on then. Good luck for Friday! I can't believe it's actually happening! How wonderful!

Hi Barny, Staci and Kappy! Great to know you're all here with us!

Like Staci and Sandra, I wanted to see how you're all doing now you're in the final straight...

Paige - the sweats suck don't they? that and having to pee 10 times a night...

Alicia - your post made me laugh. It read as if you're knitting DH pjs!!

Good luck Angela with your scan.

hugs and best wishes,
Debra (ET on Thursday at 10.30 - wish me luck)

HI Everyone!

Thanks for all of the well wishes. We're down to the final 27 1/2 hours before birth, but who is counting right?

My subconscious must be a little freaked out about the whole thing because I had a dream last night that I was standing last in a line of about 100 pregnant women in hospital gowns and had to wait for all of them to deliver before a Dr. would see me. hmmm and I didn't think that this was stressing me out at all!

Janem: Hope all is going well with your twinnies at home! I'm sure you barely have time to shower, let alone post, but we'd love to hear from you.

To all of my other 3rd trimester buddies! We're all getting so close! This week totally snuck up on me. May the time fly for you too.
