Hi Girls

Post by Zed2003 »

Just wanted to say hi to you all.

Time is passing so fast these days and finding any time to come on the computer is hard, as most of you will know.

My wee man turned one on Feb 5th (and is even properly one, now March 23rd has passed too! LOL). He is such a joy and every day fills us with more wonder as we watch him - you would never know now to look at him that he was 7 weeks early. I look back on the last 3 years and wonder how we ever got through things at times - it all seems like a lifetime ago, yet only yesterday. Each new 'stage' with Sam brings so much happiness, yet at the same time, sadness as I wonder where my wee baby has gone, and who is this toddler facing me. Instead of being sad at stopping sterilising last week, I was sad - how daft is that?? LOL My emotions are so mixed all of the time - I dearly wish we could have a brother or sister for Sam, yet I look at him sometimes and don't want him to share out attention with anyone - I do my own head in sometimes!! No that it makes a difference - what will be, will be I suppose. Acupuncture and disgusting teas haven't solved the problem anyway, and I don't think I could go through IVF again.

Listen to me, I'm rambling :? That's what comes of not coming on this thing enough. LOL. Anyone else going nuts like me?

Hope you and all your babas are doing well.

Zoe & Sam xx

Yes Zoe, going quietly crazy here too. Maya will be 2 next month and although she makes me laugh like mad every day it's poignant too, watching her growing more independent. The word 'no' features strongly right now and it's hard work!

I'll attach my signature and you'll see, we're very much hoping for another baby, Maya is everything and more I could have hoped for but we both we've enough love for another baby too. I was 41 last week so this is probably it, no more tries after this fresh cycle.

lovely to hear about Sam.

Hi Zoe,

It is so lovely to hear from you, I know that you don't get chance to post on here very often these days but when you do I do like to catch up and read your posts.

To be honest I feel exactly like you happy & sad because the time is passing us by so quickly.

Do you have anymore recent photo's of Sam? I have one on my phone atm so if you have a camera phone PM your number and I will text it through to you.

I have not stopped sterilising Alex's bottles yet but thats probably because that is another sign of him growing up.

I do love to hear how little one is doing, is he walking yet? hows he doing with his food? Alex was one on the 4th Feb so there is only a days difference its wonderful.

I really do hope to hear from you soon.
Love
Shell.

Hi girls,

Good to hear from you both and glad things are going well.

We've been up NOrth for a few days and Sam was really not himself. Didn't sleep, really unsettled and not like him really. A rash appeared on Tuesday or so on his arms and legs and got worse so we took him to the drs today. His glands, ears, chest etc seemed ok. She thought it was a viral infection so we'll see how he goes - the poor wee mite. My sister has just phoned though to say her wee one is not well now - lots of mouth ulcers etc so we'll see what her dr says. The worry eh?

Shell - I do have a camera phone - I'll email you the number at some point, but I'll try and send some pics too.

He's not walking yet, but is crawling for Scotland and pulling himself up no bother - I don't think it'll be long. As for food - he's good really - I've just put him onto full milk last week. he still does't 'snack' and finger foods are still a problem, but no doubt he'll do things in his own time - I'm not rushing him. He has 8 teeth, but I think the biggies are coming - in fact we thought that's what has been wrong with him at first.

Anyway, must go and feeed him. Take care

Hi Zoe

Lovely to hear from you, how does he seem on full fat milk? Alex wasn't keen on the formula milk but as taken to full fat milk really good so I am chuffed to bits.

It would be nice to get ur number so I can send you this photo of Alex he is growing up so quick.

Has he had his MMR jab yet? Alex has had his and didn't do too bad, he did come out in a rash but it did clear up after a few days. Its such a big decision because you don't know what to do for the best.

Make sure you email me some photo's of little Sam can't wait to see him.

Hey Zoe I was at Scotland the 13th March was at Edinburgh for Lee's 30th Birthday. We was thinking of coming back to the Tattoo have you ever been?

Hi Shell,

I did notice you were up this way and I always meant to post... you know what like though...glad you enjoyed it - I still think of it as the lowlands - I'm a true highland lass, myself! LOL

No - Sam's not had MMR yet - that'll be the next hurdle. how old was Alex when he got it. My sister's wee one has just had it at about 15 months. Sam's still not himself - very grumpy and last night had a major throw up session over EVERYTHING - not like him. I've had to do 6 washes - my clothes, steve's clothes, rugs, sofa bed cover, bedding, 2 sleeping bags. LOL - oh the joys.

Alex had his when he was just over 12 months old but I do know the appointment can come through anything up to 18 months.

Hi Shell,

He seems brighter this morning, so hopefully he's over the worst (mind you, I've said that several times this week!)

How's Alex?

Hi Shell and Zoe,
Not been on for ages as had trouble getting website on hoem PC and then have had no time as Jen only has x2 20 min sleps a day which usually only occur when I'm out walking the dogs!!! So basically I don't get a min! But loving it!!
I'M NOW BACK AT WORK - HENCE A FEW SPARE MINS TO POST!!!
Jen will be 1 on 16th May - can't believe where the time has gone and that just over a year ago we were all emailing with our anxieties over the pregnancies. I still haven't forgotten the photo of you Shell when you were about 30 wks!
Is Sam much better now, Zoe? Jen has been unwell with cough and cold since Nov and the Drs think she may have asthma but I think she's just been unlucky picking up viruses with being at nursery!
I just stopped breastfeeding this month as I'm hoping to start another tmt and have to have stopped feeing for at least 2 months before I start!

Hi Di,

Know what you mean about the time. Thanks for asking about Sam - he is better NOW. We've had a bit of a nightmare though. He continued to be sick and couldn't even hold down water. We got an emergencu appointment and the dr said he should stop being sick by lunchtime. 24hrs passed and no better so we ended up in sick kids. After a good few hours he started taking sips of water so we thought the worst had passed and we went home. He had a horrendous night - up every half hour or so. He seemed a little brighter the next day but by lunchtime went limp and had a temp of 39.3. To cut a long story short he was admitted to hospital and put on a drip. Thankfully he's ok and they think it was a virus ontop of the first virus. You'd never know it now thank god.

Anyway - I can't believe how old your wee one is. It only all seems like yesterday though...

Must go
Take care
