hi everyone,

has my 7week scan today and its twins!!!! :D :D we are really really pleased but scared at the same time  They both measured about 11.8mm and are looking good. i still have a few large follicles which apparantly will go eventually.

the fact that its twins puts us in a bit of a dilema as we are just about to but a plot of land and build a bungalow but with the risk of twins coming early and the fact that i will be really big and tired and less able to help we may have to re-think our plans. I dont want to jeopardise the babys but i do want a nice home for them to live in and where we are now only has 2 beds and i have an 12 year old from a previous relationship. So time for a long chat with DP i think :!:

I havent posted for a while as have been feeling really off colour, havent been sick but have felt it all day!

hope all of you are progressing well i will keep reading your posts especially those of you with twins :D

love kim

Hey Kim,
Congrats on your twins! How exciting for you and DP! Sounds like you guys are going to have a busy summer. I'm sure you will both figure out a plan though. Sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather. Trust me when I tell you it will get better once you hit the second trimester. I didn't believe it until it happened to me.

It's nice that there's a good group of you that are all expecting 2! I am going to hop onto Wendy's new 2nd trimester thread now. I'll continue to follow all of you as you progress!

Hi All

Congratulations Kim on the twins!! Its amazing isnt it!!! Wait till you have your next scan, my 9 week was fantastic and everyone keeps looking at our scan pics as they are so clear. I felt a bit sick early on but by 8 weeks this had gone, and all I have really been bothered by is overwhelming tiredness, but Im not complaining!
Hi Caroline, how did the maternity clothes shopping go? I have decided to clear out my wardrobe and put my tight clothes well away as its depressing looking at them. I can get in certain things still but I guess not for long! At least there are a lot of smock type tops in fashion this summer, so am hoping I can get away with a bigger size in some of those for a while. Good luck for your scan tomorrow, I wish I was having another one then! Getting nervous for Mondays Nuchal already. Have been told to allow at least 2 1/2 hrs for the whole appt!!! I have met my midwife, but it was just a chat, she didnt examine me or anything? Is that the norm? I guess we are so used to being pulled around and having everything checked and double checked in a cycle that I feel a bit abandoned!! Have you seen yours yet?
Kelly, Edi and Wendy.... My due date is 26th Oct, but have been told will be more likely to be a month before because of the twins...so should I join your new thread? And Caroline too?!
Love to all

Kim - fantastic news - congratulations, it is great to have another set of twins due near Sue & me, so we can share experiences.

I have generally not felt well the whole way through - never actually been sick - just queasy all day & SOOOOOOOOO tired! By the end of the week I am just about dead on my feet. Roll on 2nd trimester as everyone says it will get easier.

Sue - didn't do any shopping - felt ill over weekend - had a 3 day blinding headache, so really just mouched around. Will try again this weekend.
Feel much better now.

Can't wait for 10 1/2 week scan tomorrow - just hope all ok. Next week I'm going to tell work. It has really being worrying me, so I reckon the sooner I get it over with the better - one less thing to fret about - as I don't think it will go down too well. Then I can tell the extended famly. I am so looking forward to telling my 90 year old grandma , she will be delighted.

My clinic don't do any measurements or give any photos which seems a bit poor considering the scans are £100 a shot, so I look forward to the NHS one in a couple of weeks when hopefully we will get a photo of the twins.

Sue - I haven't seen midwife yet - I'm waiting for her to contact me.
Have they told you anything about your nuchal scan - mine doesn't say anything re full bladder etc & I just wonder if you have been given any more info than me.

I will join the other thread too!
