No Sand, I'm just indulging in PMA! Of course there's every chance of zero fertilisation, poor quality etc. I'm thinking warm, fuzzy thoughts right now and jumped the gun re. the dates thread!

Why not try one shot with DH there (as a backup) so you know you can do it before your overnight trips? You know if you remove the extra sources of stress we can all get you to April 29 more smoothly!

Debra ... Thanks .... I know what you say makes perfect sense, but the thought terrifies me.....

Pushing something alien into my flesh ... aaggghhhh ! I can't even watch while someone else does it.

There's nothing wrong with warm fuzzy thoughts. Hopefully they'll let you rest a little better tonight.

Sandra,
I'm the same way. In all my life, I have never seen anyone put a needle into me, I always turn my head. I don't flinch or cry or anything... but I can't watch. :!:

(But we both know Debra's right

Oh no, am I next on the list to be tested?????

I think Hugo is next, she has posted on the April 2ww thread. I wish her well as I think she is having a tough time, rest, rest, rest!

Feeling quite low today and pressures at work are not helping the mood any. These cramps I am getting are all too familiar. Anybody else having an off day?

Day 9 of my 2ww and time seems to have stood still, I thought coming into work would pass the time a bit quicker but I was wrong. Oh listen to me harping on you all know what I mean.

Going to have chocolate biscuit now to cheer me up a little!

Well wishes to all LOS xxx

Los

Sending you loads of PMA :D

I know the 2ww seems like an eternity but you are 3/4 of the way through it so you are on the downwards slope :?

Try and stay calm and relaxed. Remember there are no definite signs that you should or shouldn't be experiencing - everyone is different, so stay as positive as you can.

Fingers crossed and thinking of you :D

Am new here, have been watching and lurking on this forum since my first ISCI attempt in Dec 04 – so thought it was time to sign up. Very useful site! Had EC yesterday – 12 eggs of which 11 were injected and 7 fertilised. At the moment I’m on the blastocyst watch so all being well am due for ET either Saturday or more likely Monday, fingers crossed all being well. My test date is 20th April.

First ISCI attempt December 04 was +ve but sadly the pregnancy only lasted a few days after the +ve blood test. Hoping for better luck this time. I’ll be 40 this year so am concerned about declining fertility, although been told that my egg count’s not bad for a lady of my years!

Welcome Dancola

You've joined at a good time - as you know the 2ww is hard at the best of times, but at least here you can scream, shout, moan and groan with people who understand :D

Good luck with the ET and let us know how you get on. Get plenty of rest and relaxation.

Sending you loads of PMA and Baby Dust.

Thanks! Unfortunately taking time off work is very difficult for me – work in very small office with 3 guys (and we have told no one – not even family – about our ICSI attempts), so taking time off for scans and EC etc has been difficult. Back to work today though not feeling great. Will take the day off for ET but unfortunately no other days off. Should this attempt fail then maybe will revisit the work situation. Not sure how much difference it makes or not? Not doing anything different to the December attempt, other than taking the Zita West vitamins VitaFem and DHA.

Speaking of Zita West, her website says that placing a hot water bottle on the belly between EC and ET helps – anyone tried this?

Danola

Re: the hot water bottle - not tried it, but now willing to give anything a go

Desperate is as desperate does :!:

I really hope that things go well for you - it is really difficult when you haven't told anyone. We have only told immediate family and nobody else. I decided not to say anything to work, but when my first attempt failed and I knew I would try again I had a word with my boss and he had already guessed  and I thought I had kept my secret brilliantly

Anyway, fingers crossed for the EC and ET - keep us informed and let us know how you are going. We will be here to help you through the 2ww :!:

Hi Dancola

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear Dec's +ve turned -ve. You must have really gone through it.

Good to see you've got back on the band wagon, and 7 from 11 ain't bad !!

I love my hot water bottles, and when it's a cold day I often take one with me (shopping, work etc) under my coat. Under my jumper, tucked into my jeans too, if poss ! Is that weird ? Anyway .. Zita says hot water bottles are good between EC and ET to improve the flow of blood in the pelvis, but not after ET. After ET you should still keep the lower abdomen warm, but don't use a hot water bottle.

Good luck for ET on Sat / Monday ..
