Hey BigJ - No cold feet, you are about to be in sunny and warm Barcelona 8) 8) 8) Let us know how you progress this week and your travel plans.

Maci - you poor thing, I can imagine last week was horrific. Now think the worst is behind you. With my AF I too thought my entire uterus was being cleaned out - forget tampons I had to have a mattress! And during work kept running to the bathroom with my handbag - my colleagues must have thought I was nuts! I experienced massive headaches when I started stimming. They would come and go through out the day but it would hurt sometimes just to blink my eyes. But it is not forever and was a good excuse to lay down.

PMA to All     and tons of baby dust!

what a mixed week we've all had.

BigJ - no need for cold feet - unless you're here where it's snowing heavily - big, soft, thick white Christmassey snowa gain! Just write all your worries and we'll do our best to help :D

Traci - good luck today. 4 hours to go until a very special moment. I'm sure it will go smoothly and you'll be twiddling your thumbs soon, waiting for the 2ww to pass. Will DH be around or in Vienna? what will you do to keep busy.

Maci. Sorry you've had a rough week. We do understand, it is crappy sometimes and our bodies respond very strongly. I recognise the emotional upheaval, I cried a lot on Friday and being out of control is scarier than usual when we place all our trust in others. You're right though, it DOES pass and we DO feel better, it's just tough to see that at the time. Take good care of yourself.

Lisa - good luck tomorrow. Don't forget to let me know when your test date will be.

Tyler - strange dream I agree! I don't get odd dreams at night, but very hot instead. Poor DF.

Elle. Let us know about your scan today. 30+ follies is enormous, they are watching you carefully aren't they??

Good luck to everyone on their meds.

Hello ladies! Have a good day today!

Debra- it seems I have a lot of follicules,...10 big ones , 5 on each side and lots of little ones...11 on the right and 12 on the left ovary,...seems like a whole lot. Today I will know when I'll have my egg aspiration I guess. How are you doin'?

Sandra- yeah, i did quite well on self-injecting,...my thigh has been very sore since. It hurt a lot when I walked. But this morning it's not as bad.

Tracii- today's your big day. Let us know how it all went. I'll be thinking of you. Take it easy!

Eskavon- good luck with the injections.

Baby dust to all of us!

Thanks for messages Sandra, BigJ, Debra and Nicola.
In answer to your q Nicola it will Day13, and I hope you had a great holiday!. After scan on friday they said I had one good size follicle, 2 medium and 4/5 tiny ones. I'm guessing they will do a scan tomorrow cos will do follicular reduction if too many follicles, they say only 1 or 2 needed for iui.
Baby dust to all, will let you know how it goes tomorrow
love Lisa xxxxx

My little embi and me made it!   I was more nervous then I thought I would be - but all went well. Oddly enough although it is day 5, the embi had not yet turned into a blastocyst.....but my Dr reassured me everything is fine. The other weird thing is today my BBT plummeted almost 1.5 degrees (fahrenheit) :o , Dr thinks a cold might be creeping up.

They also gave me a photo of the embi - but doesn't look like anything in the books so I am not sure at what stage they took the photo. :?: :?:

My next steps are:
16. April (Saturday) Blood test
19. April (Tuesday) Final Blood test for pregnancy

Off to rest for a bit and relax.

Thinking of you all!

Traci .. I can imagine how relieved you must feel now that baby embi is snuggling into his/her new home. It must seem an age since EC. The good news is you've only got 9 more days to go. Get plenty of rest and visualise implantation ..

Absolutely fantastic news - it is really important that you now take time out for yourself and your little embie and look after the two of you.

Fingers crossed, PMA and Baby Dust to you for a positive outcome :D

Sandra, bigJ, Traci and Debra,

Thank you all for your empathy, support and kind words of encouragement. I am quite overwhelmed by this board and how much is given by people we only know via these posts. Being united in our quest to carry, nurture and hold our own babies is a very strong and instant bonding experience I guess. Thank you.

Sandra - I am so with you on the last AF for 9 months. I feel it is important to think this way until proven otherwise. I hope that you are feeling ok today. Catch up soon. 8)

Big J - " a poohey week" quite literally. You must warm up your cold feet pronto. CLose your eyes and focus - PMA PMA PMA :)

Traci - What a laugh you gave me about the mattress    I totally agree, tampons were a waste of time to begin with. I was really pleased to read you post about ET - glad all seemed to go well. Best of luck to you on your 2WW. Have a stash of trashy mags and chick-flicks to make sure you take it easy and rest up.

Debra - thank you too for your kind words. Hope you are coping with each day of the 2WW so far. How are you feeling at the moment?

Bye for Now,

Maci x

Traci - WAY TO GO! So pleased everything went well. I can't believe you've such a short 2ww....lucky you!

No I don't take my temp, don't even have a thermometer in the house! What's the general idea, your temp is up if pg? Please explain!!

Maci + Elle - thanks for asking how I am. Well....it's Day 4 and I'm fine thanks but already thinking I should improve my eating habits - I LURVE to have something to worry about!!!! Zita is SUPER strict on food but less so than 'What to expect when you're expecting' (which another book I recommend totally). They are rigid on how well we should all be eating once pg - PMA again :D They have this 'daily dozen' pg bints should be following + a 'make every bite count' mantra which scared the pants off me as I munched crisps mid-am! Maybe I'm in for a terrible shock but I feel very confident, as does DF who was musing out loud about new cars if it's twins. Now, if you knew DF you'd understand this is very rare. He's SO extremely Norwegian - very calm, careful and logical, he doesn't excited by much and even then you'd be hard pressed to see signs of it. He feels we've cracked it this time!

Hi to everyone else reading this,
Debra.

Debra

If anything is worth "cracking" it's those eggs and why not twins - how exciting for you both that would be.

Hope you are reclining often on your sofa with a good book, or TV, and taking no part in anything stressful - remember a calm and peaceful environment is really important.

Keep the PMA up - you sound as though you are doing really well.

Hi Debra

Good to read your update. Had a good giggle at your description of DF   He sounds a real honey. Great that he is also full of positive thoughts and no doubt browsing thru car brochures and adverts as we speak  I think you should go with his feelings, there must be something in it if he has stepped out of his usual character.

Bucket loads of baby dust to you. Hope your dream comes true.

Take good care

Hi Debra - I am not sure taking my temps will help with all the added progesterone (elevates artificially your temps). But basically since wanting to become preggers and to determine my 'O' timing, I have taken my temperature every day before getting out of bed. It is truly amazing what you learn with this act! :!: Once you have taken your temperature for a couple of months you see a pattern develop (it is never the same exact temps, but a pattern). Things you find out - right before O your temp drops slightly, the day of O your temps go up, during your luteal phase your temps remain high, and rightbefore/day of AF your temps drop. If your temps remain high for more than 18 days during your luteal phase - it is a sign you are preggers. By taking my temps I have determined my luteal phase is exactly 13 days - always.

Did you have spotting/slight bleeding after ET?
