Hi all.

Wow this Thread is so much busier. It's been eight days now since I started my supercur injections. Getting a bit better with the needles. Was ill since Friday with a throat infection  and I couldn't tell if I were having symptoms from the injections or from the illness. Going for my first scan on Friday and hopefully start my next set of injections.

Best wishes to you all. XXX

I had a little bit of good news last Tuesday. DH went to have his sperm test and froze and they said that there were 30% motility (a couple of months ago it was 5% motility). :D They were able to freeze the sperm ready for EC in case DH can't produce any. They also offered to freeze another sample for us tomorrow free of charge. So hopefully that will be plenty of sperm for them to choose for the ICSI.

Shortly after I started my injections, I've been having a small sharp pain, a bit like a period pain, which lasts a couple of seconds and goes away. Is it anything to worry about? I'm not sure if I should ring the nurse and tell her.

Hi everyone! Pain has almost fully subsided after yesterday's EC.
Tylerb - hope your scan goes really well today - let us know how you get on.
Delly - I bet you can't wait to get your eggs picked up! Best of luck for tommorrow & I hope you get loads of lovely eggs.
Michelle - nice to meet you! I hope your scan goes really well.

My dh at first thought this message forum was a stupid idea! But I have shown him some of the messages we post to each other, & he now thinks it a fantastic support network for me. This forum has already helped me so much, and I don't know what I would do without it now.

Baby dust to everyone!

Hello everyone!
I just finished reading all your posts here. Thanks Debra and LittleP for asking about my scan. Well last Sunday, I went back for another scan & bloodwork and they just told me I was doin' great but have to come back again Monday. So I did and guess what? I have 9 follicles & 5 small ones on the right and 6 big ones & 6 small ones on the left. :D I don't know whatever happened to the other small follicles they said I had before. OH WELL!

Anyways, they called me and said everything looked good and so I had my HCG shot earlier at 10 pm. EC is scheduled for Wed. at 7:30am. I am sooo---nervous! And tomorrow morning I have to go back to the clinic for 30cc blood draw and dilation.

Delly- 24 follies! that's great! We seem to be on the same schedule. We both will have EC this wed. Lots of PMA to you!

hlloyd- 8 follies! hey, that still is great Heather. Good luck on EC on Fri. Lots of PMA to you too!

missmolly- 9 eggs! How bad was EC. Did you have a lot of pain afterwards?

tracii- get lots of rest!

kagome-good luck on your scan as well.

To all of us here, BABY DUST to US ALL!

ElleR - don't worry too much about you EC. I think the pain I had was quite uncommon. There were 3 other women in in the recovery room that also had EC done & they were walking around and looked comfortable & happy. It now all seems worth it, as I just discovered that 7 out of the 9 eggs have fertilised, and they think the other 2 may fertilise today as well!!!! I am booked in for ET on thursday morning - I am excited and relieved

Gook luck to everyone this week :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi Everyone
Thank you for your messages and PMA. Hope you are all ok. Had iui yesterday. It went ok was pretty painless, just a few slight stomach cramps after. 99% sure I'm not pregnant. When I got home about 40 minutes after procedure went to toilet and sperm came out straight away.(tmi, sorry) Didn't tell dh or any of well wishers that called last night what had happened. Feeling a bit weepy today. Could this be due to hormones, sorry to be so pessimistic, best get PMA back but I am convinced it hasn't worked. Test date 22.4.05
Please take care of yourselves and I really hope it works for you :) :)
love Lisa xxxxx

Lisa, Stay positive!! Most likely it was cervical fluid - the sperm can not come out.

IUIs are usually performed right before/during/directly after ovulation. When you Ovulate your body creates a fluid so that the sperm can survive - without this fluid your body is too dry and sperm die..so it is a good sign you had fluid when going to the bathroom!!! You are providing a comfortable home for the little guys to do their work.

I wondered for years why I had an egg-white type fluid once a month (lasts about 3 days) when going to the bathroom and I thought there was something wrong with me  Little did I know this is cervical fluid and we want to have this!

There is so much going on in your body and the hormones produce all sorts of stuff. PMA, PMA, PMA. Relax, visualize the sperm meeting your egg, fertilization...it will happen!

Lisa - Just dropping in to say good luck following your insemination. As Tracii says - it was probably just cervical mucus that you had, which indicates that you're ovulating - a good sign. Take care of yourself over the next 2 weeks and relax - I know, I know - easier said than done.

Good luck to all.
