Sorry Paul, didn’t mean to offend you (because you seem offended!) – just that the senior doctor at the clinic told us at our initial consultation that 100m was – in his opinion – considered a good sperm count. Anything under 40m is considered low. I think my DH’s last test came in at around 25m and the doctor told us we would have little chance of a natural conception. Other factors also include motility and quality. You can help improve all these by taking good vitamins (eg Zita West’s Zitamen) and eating lots of foods containing zinc and selenium – particularly nuts and seeds. Which doctor are you referring you BTW – your GP or a specialist in this particular field? Anyway, entirely up to you how you proceed. All we can do is give you advice based on our own experiences.
