Hi Guys
Hope you all enjoyed the weather at the weekend.

CC
Not sure when I start my cycle as I have to get my killer cells down with humira first which could be one two or more months!!!Then I have to check my fsh levels are down also which they do on day 1/2 then if all is well I start down regging and stimming on day 2!!!!
I have to have a hystoscopy before tmt and that is booked for 20th May so that is the only solid thing I have.

Hope the healthy living is going well for you all. I am doing well on the food but not so on the exercise. Tried the flaxseeed oil but it tasted like burnt chip fat so looking into another source of that!!! Not recommended.

Welcome Sally ...!!

I too have put a lot of weight on since the start of my 1st cycle, last Feb/March. It's all around the tummy too. Horrible.

I hope your apptmt on Monday goes well. You do feel more in control when you're being proactive. Hope something +ve comes from it.

Doesn't pay to be cheap, girls!

I had some birth control pills that had never been opened (samples from a former fert doc in AZ from a year ago), so I thought, why not just use these and save $$. Took them a week and then noticed the EXPIRATION DATE OF 8/04!!! Panicked! Called my doc. They said no biggee, but called in a fresh pack for me, which I picked up right away.
I didn't know those things could go bad! Geeze! That explains why I haven't felt any symptoms since I've been on them - (that's right, my B cup is not running over like last time :(
I was lucky in that it didn't set back my tmt plan, whew!

That's all I had. (Really just trying to keep our thread from falling off the page) :D

Hi everyone - sorry I've been a bit quiet - I'm majorly in rehearsal mode at moment for Les Mis and its hectic - God I love these kids - they are the nicest bunch of young people and I would be proud to call any one of them my own. I get so emotional and proud watching them as they sing their hearts out - the oldest is 15 and I can't believe what they're achieving. I hope one day I'll watch my own child do something like this. How's everyone doing? Any news of your AF Joanne? Glad to hear everyone's feeling so positive. Great to see Sally on here - I'm glad you've found us - sorry we deserted you - how are you doing? Will do individual messages for everyone next post when have bit more time! Cherylx

Hello All,
Work (and life in general) is still keeping me far too busy so am only able to catch up with you all occassionally. It is nice to keep an eye on what everyone is doing though.
I'm still counting the days until our follow up appointment after our last failed IVF. Appointment is 25th April so I guess it's getting closer - only a couple of weeks left then hopefully we can get a start date.
I've been doing quite well on the healthy eating but then go and spoil it with a couple of beers or half a bottle of wine :? No wonder I can't shift the weight. I've also been so busy that I'm too tired to exercise when I get home from work (feeble excuse I know). Still, I guess packing up the house for our move in May will give me some exercise!!
Have fun

Love

hi debbie, had been wondering how you are getting on. sounds like you have your hands full at the moment. i too am finding it hard to be totally healthy.. seem to be craving real comfort food at the moment in the shape of chocolate and other goodies! had some serious reality checks when i tried on some bikinis today in advance of a trip to morocco next week - the ivf treatment has not been kind to my tummy or thighs.. or maybe those cakes are the only culprit!

we will start again as soon as i have had the go ahead from a day 21 scan. currently waiting for AF so hopefully not too far off. feels like an age since the last round.

moving seems to be becoming a theme on this board. good luck with your preparation and hope it's not too stressful. are you going far?
we are in the throes of discussing a potential move to ireland where DH is from. i feel pretty excited about it but am keen to try and get a +ve result before we head off.

take care and will follow your progress.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all keeping well?

I am trying very hard  to be healthy and most of the time I am doing really well but just seem to want chocolate and wine....ooops!

Am now going back to weight watchers (stopped going every week when I reached goal weight) which is keeping me focused (and not allowing me too much choc/wine!) and I bought the Angela Griffin Dance mix workout dvd which is alot of fun (but the cool down is a killer!) and should help with toning up etc

Got 1st appt with acupuncture clinic on Thursday, have started taking lots of vitamins and make sure that despite the choc/wine thing I am eating lots of fresh fruit and veg.

Look forward to hearing from you all soon

I don't think any two of us are doing the same thing, except in general... working our way toward IVF in June/July. Diverse group!
I started bleeding last week (the day after switching to the fresher bc pills). Confused, but not really concerned. Seems like I've read on the board that our AFs get all mixed up during this part of things and it's nothing to be concerned about. (I think some of you call this part down-regging)
Someone please tell me if I'm mistaken.
I feel fine. Guess if it doesn't quit after a week, I might start to worry. :?

Hi all!

It's been lovely reading everyones news. My gym is going okay - quite enjoying it! I am still on school holiday - CC - I teach 5 and 6 year olds - have taught up to year 6, but nothing older! I can olny begin to imagine how much work you have put into this play. i was involved in Oliver! and Bugsy a couple of years ago, but I would not have liked to be directing. I suppose the good thing is that the kids involved WANT to do it. It can be hard motivating a entire year group of 11 year olds when stage is not every child's idea of fun!

The thing about teaching 5 year olds is that they have baby sibblings (they are babies themselves really!) and it can be hard seeing all these mums preganant, then arriving with bundles of joy amd seeing them grow up. However, it also keeps me going. Infact it was a parent that recommended my specialist. I was cuddling her new baby daughter and she filled up with tears and said they had waited a long time for her (not that long though, as they had a 5 year old son!). i had had a very bad experience with a consultant that morning so I filled up too! Fortunately as she was a nurse I felt I could 'share' my problem and she suggested my clinic. I don't normally discuss personal matters with parents. That was the best thing that could have happened as DH and I didn't even look around we just got our doctor to refer us there without delay!

Randa - hope you are feeling good :D

I am off to meet a friend I haven't seen for 3 years - I love the holidays!

Lumi,
You sound solid. It appears that you have bounced back quite well from Feb. Says a lot about your character.
Do you have a new plan of action regarding IVF?
I find that it helps me keep up when the ladies on this board put their next step on the bottom of their history/signature. Will you be with us for a June/July cycle?

I am doing fine. Physical therapy made my foot hurt more than normal, but you have to take a few steps back sometimes to gain ground overall. It didn't help that I overdid it and walked to the facility, which meant I had to walk home after they were done :(

Make the most of your holidays!
God Bless.

Hi guys hope you are all well??

Sorry not posted for a while, been busy at work and BOOKING A HOLIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My DH is in his really busy time of year at work and he suggested I went away with my mum for a week of total relaxation before coming back to start tmt so we are going to Gran Canaria for a week in the middle of May!

Went for acupuncture yesterday which was really good - am going again next week, he put 2 needles in my tummy then placed a box of herbs over the top which he then lit so my abdomen got nice and warm (only downside was he said the smell was rather like marijuana!!!) but it was really relaxing and I came out feeling really positive so would recommend it for you lot if you can find someone close to where you are.

Randa- hope foot better now?
Lumi - enjoy hols
Cheryl - how is Les Mis coming along?? Hope you are not working too hard???

To everyone else - hope you are all ok and look forward to hearing from you all soon!!!!
