I had my last sniff this morning and couldn't be happier. I too got cold like symptoms - runny nose and lots of sneezing! I actually found the stimming injections much more pleasant than the sniffing. Hang in there...it will be all worth it in the end!
Good luck

well, slight delay - saw the coordinator, everything was fine to start sniffing today, but when we worked the dates forward, there was a chance that EC would have been scheduled for the one week that I have to go interstate ...talk about timing...so we are continuing on with the pill until 6 May, Synarol to start 2 May *** still a Mayflower**** - it's really frustrating, but it was interesting today, as she showed us how to use the puregon pen and how to mix the powders for the final pregnyl needle.
DP and I are having ongoing discussions (yet to be resolved!!) about whether to have 1 or 2 eggs transferred (assuming we have 2 good ones). What is everyone else planning? We are not so worried about the chance of twins, but are both concerned with the slight chance of triplets if we choose to have 2 transferred.
Minnow - have you had your 21 day scan?
Heather - I am taking heart re your comments that the needle wasn't so bad - I was quite cool about it, but felt a bit queasy when I had to do a mock injection today (and that was just into a piece of foam) - what a wuss!!
DP vasectomy 10 years ago; both have children from previous marriages

Just to say 'hi' to all the April/May cyclers - if AF hasn't arrived by next week I'll start some Provera to tempt her on, so looking at starting Suprecur at some point in the next couple of weeks.
I'm hoping I can pour my heart out here rather than dumping on poor DH (I think he's secretly dreading the drugs kicking in!)!!
I agree that the jabs are better than the sniffs. I did stimulation last year and apart from feeling up and down emotionally, I didn't suffer from any other 'ailments'.
Re: Josiemack, I've opted for two embryos (if I get that far) figuring that twins/triplets is better than nothing. Our desicion was purely based on giving ourselves a greater chance of success, the outcome we can deal with whatever.
Maud - I know how you feel, I am trying to shield DH from my highs and lows, after several years it must get boring
hi all, what with sniffs, mood swings, stabbing ourselves with needles, longing for AF to start, dreading it arriving...no wonder this is such a roller-coaster ride. hope all colds disappear soon - it really is the last thing you need.
i much preferred the needle to the sniffing, mainly because i found (amd in particular DH found) the mood swings v difficult to deal with i really hated being such a cow at times and feeling like i could bite peoples heads off. if i wasnt married to the most lovely laid-back guy in the world, i'm sure we wouldnt be just about to head into our second cycle!
alison - hang in there and make sure you really look after yourself during this pahse. it can be so tirinf, so dont rush around more than you need to and maybe that cold will disappear quickly.
Heather- you seem to be on a roll! i think that from this point on you really feel as if you're getting somehwere.
josie - the delay will whizz by and seems to be a matter of days. at least you're now prepared for the needle gun! we had 2 embryos put in ast time and will choose the same again if we can. we just feel that we want to give ourselves the best possible chance and the likelihood of triplets (and them all developing) seems v small. i think you need to feel comfortable with your decision though..so take time. my 21 day scan is on may 2nd and i will be sniffing from then if all is well. thanks for asking.
maud - sounds like you are doing ok. do the special AF dance to bring her on and then you will be started!
take care all...i know there are many others i havent mentioned, but hope each and every one is doing ok.

Thanks for the encouragement minnow, I'll do that dance!
DH & I have started a business together so we're in each others' faces all day and I'm feeling pretty witchy already ... he's thinking 'I know it's going to get tough when she's on the hormones, but what's her excuse now?'! Seems like a strange time to be starting all this stuff but when is there ever the perfect time?
lol, I've just realised 'sniffing' means the nasal spray ... I thought you all had flu!
Me 39 (PCO), DH 33, ttc 5 years, 1st cycle, ET 26th Nov, pg test 10th Dec
Still don't know when I officially start but as I decided I was going to be a May girl I am going to hover here just in case
I know that the new hospital we've chosen to use do the "sniffing" process so I think I had better warn DH that my moodiness could be worse Is that possible The things we are willing to do to become Mothers - I say bring it on, you can't knock me down
I wish you all loads of PMA and Baby Dust and hope that everything goes smoothly.
good on you Little P.. sounds like you are bouncing fit. it will be v interesting to hear how you get on at clinic...it's ARGC isnt it? i have been v impressed to hear about the attention they pay to each part of the cycleand of course their statistics are brilliant. after my last failed cycle i thought about moving there but think it's best to give current one another shot before i do that. anyway i hope you can give me the lowdown once you get going. you will of course be a May girl!!

Already they have helped me out by finding out what the problem is. I had the auto immune blood test and discovered that I have high levels of NK cells - so at least we have finally found an answer to the fertility question
It must be quite a weight off your shoulders if you find out what could be causing your infertility
I feel like my own gynacologist sometimes, always trying to pin down what the problem is and comparing myself to other ladies who conceive naturally - trying to establish what the difference is between us.
Chinese medicine gave me a lot of answers. I was told that I have Liver and Blood Qi stagnation which is evident in a lot of endo sufferers. However, after several months of acupuncture and chinese herbs, still no bambino. My periods are not as bad as they were and my energy levels are a lot higher so hopefully this can only help our chances with IVF. Western infertilily treatment can't diagnose these issues so I'm not surprised that Chinese medicine is being used in conjunction with fertility treatments by many practioners.
Still have a slight cold and using the nasal spray with a sensitive nose is horrible. I'm hoping that after a week of it, my nose will get used to it! I read on the internet that there is a small risk of being sensitive to the carrier fluid
I'm well...felt a bit low yesterday and didnt know why. when i thought about it, i guess AF having started the day before was confirmation yet again that we just cant do this on our own!! now feel more positive today. really cant wait to get going on the next cycle and should start downregging in around 3 weeks which is great. the last (and first) cycle went so smoothly (apart from the -ve result of course)! and i am hoping the same will happen again. i responded well to all the drugs and produced a fair number of eggs without developing OHS ( i have polycystic ovaries, bit not PCOS). i think that it is just so infuriating not knowing why we cant conceieve although at 38 I guess that may well be enough of a factor in itself!! i too had the NK bloodtest done at the Lister's request before i started the treatment. mine came back -ve so no info from that.
they think the -ve result was just bad luck - i hope they're right.
we are off to Morocco tomorrow so a chance to forget about IVF etc although it is never far from ny mind. planning to rest, sit in sun, shop and eat gorgeous food. i will be desperate to see the results on the test thread when i get back!!
sorry---feel i've just unloaded. hope you dont mind. hope you are doing ok. you sound good.
