Hi everyone,<br>I wondered if anyone has ever thought of surrogacy? My DH would much rather go for surrogacy than let me go through IVF. As I have mentioned on another occasion, I have kidney problems. I would dearly love to have my own child, and wondered if anyone else was going through a similar dilema??? Please help!<br>Savannah

Hi Charmaine,<br>I would probably go through an agency, I've looked into COTS, which is the organisation that deals with it. My sister had volunteered, but now she is getting divorced, so she no longer wants to. It would be my egg and my DH sperm, but I might not have the health to go through the pregnancy if I don't fall pregnant soon. That is why, and I'm sure I am no different to anyone else, I am becoming panic stricken that I am not falling pregnant after 2 years. Have you ever thought about surrogacy? Or maybe even adoption? Hi Savannah,<br>My dh and I are now thinking in the line of surrogacy/egg-donation/adoption-not all at the same time,of course!!!!!!<br>Haven't started information gathering as yet......<br>We had our third failed IVF attempt earlier this week with my 37 th birthday.<br>We will have a break now and post-Christmas,in the new year,hopefully go ahead.<br>So,I'll be grateful if you share any information re. any of these.<br>I'm thinking of involving no family so would like to hear from you.<br>Bye.

Hi Anna,<br>I am so sorry to hear about your failed IVF this week, I haven't been through IVF, but I know how devistating things are! I have loads of information about surrogacy, although I really want this to be my last option. There is an organisation called COTS that has sent me a load of leaflets on it. Here is there website; www.surrogacy.org.uk I am sure if you ask you hospital, they will also give you information which mine did. They gave me quite a bit of information about CARE, I know they are in Nottingham, but they might ahve a branch somewhere else. I like the idea of COTS because they find you a woman who is prepared to do it for you, I was under the impression CARE didn't.<br>I don't know how you feel about all these options available, but I would dearly love to adopt before I did anything else. I am finding the emosional strain too much! My dh on the other hand wants his own child! The costs of surrogacy is £10,000 and up, it all depends on what the surrogate mother wants. That includes IVF, btu not the extra expense of clothes or any extras she will need, such as, time off work etc. Pretty understandable!<br>I have really rattled on, so before you fall asleep, I hope this will help you. I have also decided to relax over Xmas and start again in the new year!<br>Take care, Savannah
