Stay positive and keep looking after yourself.

You don't have to tell your boss about the treatment (well, you don't in England and I can't imagine your laws are that different with regards to this!). Tell her you've had a nasty stomach bug - let's face it she probably won't want to ask too many details :? :!: You can tell her you are better off being at home when you can get to the loo as quickly as you need to as you aren't given that much warning (sorry TMI, but it should put her off asking :D :!:

All that's important is you get loads of R&R and put yourself first.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you.

Hi girls,

Tracii - i'm so sorry to hear your news, i really don't know what to say, it's good that you're keeping your spirits up and planning your next go.

Dancola - i won't say i'm sorry to hear your news just yet, your AF showing up doesn't necessarily mean it's negative, you've still gotta think positive until your test tomorrow, wishing you all the luck in the world.

Debra - how are you holding up? wishing you all the luck in the world aswell for your test on thursday.

Christine - thanks for your message, as Debra said, this place is great getting support from people who know exactly how you are feeling.
Thanks to everyone else showing their support, i'm not very optimistic about tomorrow's e/c i've just got this feeling it will end up being a total freeze all. I have been drinking loadsa water, but been adding some sugar free strawberry squash to it, a little less boring then, lol. I'm so bloated and uncomfortable and feel like i need a pee every 5 mins.
I managed to do my shot at 7.30pm last night, it took 3 attempts to actually get the needle in, the 1st 2 attempts it wouldn't even break the skin, 3rd time i pushed a lot harder and it eventually went in, i was shaking like a leaf when it was over, it was horrible, but i'm so proud of myself that i actually did it. It just goes to show what you can do when you want something so badly.
Well gotta run (quite literally, to the loo again, lol)
I'll try and get online sometime tomorrow to let you know how it goes.
Take care and talk to you all soon.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Michelle, All the best for tomorrow...think you will feel so much better and not so bloated. And get plenty of rest afterwards...and drink lots of water..maybe with fresh squeezed lemon  Let us know how it goes as soon as you have recovered.

Just back from my scan and not good news they only found 6 follicles which is very dissapointing!Egg sharing goes out of the window so the thoughts of having 2 or 3 treatments is over,we have to decide if we want to donate all to recipient or have all the eggs ourselves.Makes me very angry that we live in a country where some people get treatment and others get nothing and have to think of donating eggs to fund treatment(I don't have a problem with egg sharing if it did go ahead it would fill me with joy to think I helped someone get pregnant)
Anyway sorry for going on,Traci I am sorry things have not worked out keep your chin up!!

Can understand you must be upset :x - but remember it only takes 1!
Take some time to decide what is best for you, sure you will get some great advice on here xx

True what you say about some getting tmt for free though - we have funded a vasectomy reversal, 3 IUI's and to date 2 IVF's!!!!!!!! I don't even want to think about how much it has cost us so far (luckily my dh gets good bonus at work otherwise I am not sure how we would fund tmt)

Good luck with the rest of your tmt

Hi there

I'm with Joanne - it does only take one so don't get too downhearted.

I know what you mean about paying for treatment. We heard about NICE offering one free treatment and when we enquired about it we were told "sorry, you live in the wrong postcode" - oh great!!! :x

Oh well, I guess that's the way it goes, as long as people are genuinely getting this free treatment that's what matters - it's progress!!

Hope you are all ok

Tylerb .. Sorry the news wasn't as good as you wanted, but you have got 6 eggs from it. .. and yes, it's totally unfair re some having to pay.

Elle - Good .. a full 48 hrs ? Well done. It sounds so good, but it's actually quite hard staying in bed for 48 hours. If your boss doesn't know about yr tmt, like Little P says, just give her some kak story.

Michelle .. Everything crossed for you for tomorrow ... I do hope your EC can go ahead, but if not remember it's in your best interest. Good luck !

Fluffy Cat .. Welcome to the thread !! Hope all goes well on Friday and you get some good news at your scan. I started downreg on 5 April, so we're (kinda !) around the same dates.

Hope everyone else is doing fine today ..!!

Michelle,
We chose not to implant right away (an age thing). ANYWAY, my point in telling you this is that I understand it's disappointing to have to wait - if you end up having to. BUT, in doing so, you do gain some advantages. Your body has time to calm down and only the highest quality embryos make it through freezing and thawing, so you'll only be working with the very best when you do transfer! :D
Since I have 0 patience (the worst words in the world to me are - "you'll need to wait"), I have to concentrate on positives to get through.
Hope that helps you some.
God Bless!

Hi Ladies

Michelle - fingers crossed for you tomorrow! I hope everything works out just as you had planned.

TylerB - a lot can happen in between now and EC...more follies may develop, you never know. I know it's hard but try and stay positive and remember that it is difficult to predict anything in the world of IVF!

Best wishes to everyone.

Lots of love
