1st FET tomorrow - nervous!

Post by Susan »

Hi,

Just discovered this site. Mixed feelings about it. As in, I'm not sure it's good for me to dwell on this! Would I not get through the next 2 weeks withoug focusing on it? I'm sure someone will tell me I couldn't even if I tried. Planning to take three days off work so hope that's enough. I think I'll feel it's enough by Friday!

The most helpful comments I found are those that imply it's a lottery. That's makes me feel a bit better as then I think - it's not up to me, I can only do my best.

Hopefully will be in touch over the next few weeks.

Susan

hi susan,
So glad you posted on here. I know it sounds corny, but we are all here to support one another, and to be honest, it's only the fact that i have been able to log on this board and get positive vibes and comments from all the girls on here that has kept me sane through all of this.
Good luck with all your treatment, i've just started injecting tonight, and am doing IUI with donor sperm, so i still have a little way to go. Hope to see you around,

Heather
xxx
Got pregnant with IUI triplets in March 04. One triplet stopped growing at 9 weeks. Gave birth to twin boys in Sep 04, Ciaran sadly lost his fight. Brennan's thriving.Looking to give Brennan a sibling soon.

1st FET tomorrow - nervous!

Hello Susan

I had my 1st FET last Monday (28th) - I was back a work on the Wednesday. Last time (when I had a fresh embie transfer) I took the whole 2 weeks off and was bored out of my brains. If I'm honest, I ended up doing house stuff that I should have been doing just because I was so bored. Sitting at my desk is much safer and keeps me out of mischief.

Good luck for today.

Sarah x
Hi Susan

Welcome to the site. Good luck for the transfer.

I had my first FET on 24th Oct, so going through the awful 2ww at the moment.

I didn't go back to work until the following Tuesday. I agree with Sarah - taking the whole 2 weeks off kills you. You need something to try and take your mind off it. As long as you're not a brick layer, you should be fine going back after a few days. Just take it easy.

love
Caroline
xx
