Hi - new person here!

Post by andreaj »

Have just found this site, and wish I'd found it before - I had my first IVF cycle in Sept, which didn't work; and it all felt rather lonely and scary, as I don't know anyone else who's gone through it.
We've been trying for 9 years, but have only recently been able to afford IVF.

I've got to go back to the clinic next week, so they can look at my programme, and see what can be done to improve things when we have another try in January.

Will be checking in regularly now, as it's great to be able to talk to people who know what it's like to go through all this.

Andrea
<><

Hello Andrea

Glad you found the site - I find it so useful for bits of info and comparing experiences. I found it a couple of weeks ago and check in daily now to see how everyone is getting on.

The cost of the treatment is a nightmare - luckily we had some savings so could start straight away, we're on our second try at the moment and I'll be having my test next monday to see if it's worked. If it doen't this time, we'll really be scratching around for more dosh! No free NHS treatment in our area!

Well best of luck for you January attempt. Are you starting from scratch or did you have some frozen embryos from last time?

Sarah

Hi Andrea, I only found the site last week, and have been totally overwhelmed by the words of encouragement that I have received. We are currently planning our sixth cycle, which hopefully will be in January. I just wish I had found the site earlier, as i'm sure it would have helped me cope better.

Look after yourself

Love
Daisy
